    Hi,

Can someone explain why the uk Titleist site still links to the summer catalogue for custom shaft options, yet the US site links to the fall catalogue with an updated shaft chart and options?

Can you advise if the following shafts are available to try at the St. Ives fitting facility:

    Motore Speeder 7.2 tour spec

    Motore Speeder 6.2 tour spec

    HD7M

    HD6M

    Kiyoshi Black 65

    Tour AD BB7

    D+ White 72

    Thanks,

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

The new catalogue was put up last week, but it appears that a couple of the links still need updating - thanks for flagging.

If you go to http://media.titleist.com/images/titleist/pdfs/UK/2012/flipbook/2012_Winter_Club_Options/index.html you will see the new chart.

Only the D+ White 72 is at our National Fitting Centres - there are other options for very high ball speed players (i.e. those launching at 175mph +).

The Motore Speeder 6.1 and 7.1 would fall into that category, as would the Kiyoshi 65.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Neil,

Thank you for the swift reply and the link to the updated shaft offerings.

Are the other shafts not there for test because they are listed as in the 'exotic' class, are none of the exotic shafts there?

I don't have a high ball speed, certainly not 175mph+, but I was being directed towards these low launch, low spin shafts as I have trouble with my launch and spin. But considering the prices on these shafts, I won't buy any till I get a chance to hit them in the 913 head.

I'm struggling to figure out how to find them to try.

    Regards,

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

You are correct that the other shafts are not there because they are "exotic". There are "exotic" shafts at the National Fitting Centres, but to be honest the breadth of exotic shafts available is so wide as to make it impractical for them all to be stocked.

We work very closely with shaft manufacturers to determine which shafts, in conjunction with Titleist heads, will deliver the optimised launch and performance for most golfers. That being the case, I am confident that, from the wide selection of shafts at our National Fitting Centres, our fitting technicians would be able to work with you to optimise launch and control spin from a combination of the 16 settings that each driver head has and the array of shafts available.

We would always recommend going into a fitting with an open mind, rather than being set on a range of preferred shafts which may not, ultimately, be suitable.

There are a variety of low and low / mid launching shafts, in a variety of weights at our National Fitting Centres, which when combined with different lofts / head weights will deliver the results that you desire.

    Hope this helps.

    hi Neil,

    Thanks for the reply.

It does help. I'll have a play with the current shaft I have on order and see if it is worth checking in for a comparison to some other options.

    Regards

    Richard
