I purchased a lightweight stand bag in May.  I've walked 45 rounds with it, and have a few suggestions to improve the design: 1) The water bottle pocket needs some holes in it to let it air/dry out.  There's always condensation on the outside of a water bottle, this gets trapped on the inside of the pocket and it's a mold breeding ground.  2) Add a pocket/holster that's specifically designed for lasers or gps devices. I'm using the "valuables" pocket, but my laser doesn't really fit.  I would like this pocket/holster to be near the top of the bag, so when I set the bag down, I can grab it easily.  3) A dedicated pocket, or poach inside a pocket, for sunglasses.  There're things I like about the bag: 1) I like the size of the club compartments, pulling a club is easy. 2) I like the handle at the top of bag. 3) I think it's comfortable to carry.

For the laser device, I got a medium sized belay clip and clip the bag the laser came in to the bag.  I clip it on the side that is closest to me when I am beside the bag.

I'm not looking for alternatives, It's time bag manufacturers made specific pockets for a device that almost every golfer who walks has.

  4. or use the beverage pocket as a holder for your range finder.... I have a Bushnell Tour V III and its a good alteranitive.... Also most range finders are water proof

Jim, I have the same bag, and I like your ideas geared towards walkers. The drain holes, for sure. When I walk, I try and empty or make the bag as light as I can. The accessory pocket is where I keep my eye glasses as I take my shades out from it. I also use a laser/lens. After making the bag light, I use the outer ball pocket for it. Yeah, that leaves me with just having a sleeve of balls or a couple more in the inner ball pocket, but it's enough for a round. Hopefully that would help till the future re-config of the lightweight bag. No'l
