  1. I just purchased a Titleist contrast stitch hat. I notice that besides the removable cardboad header there was also a felt like removable header. Is the felt one a sweat guard or what? Thanks!

I think it's an artifact of the production process and I always remove it. I think it would make the hat hotter. I use Hat Saver to avoid sweat stains.
  3. That is a great question. I just bought the Ball Marker hat today and pulled them out and didn't think anything of it but I just checked and it has the same felt header too. I can only assume that is what it is for.
  4. I got one of those too! I took out the cardboard but left that in. I don't know if thats its purpose but I sweat out hats so I kept it in to see if it'd protect it from sweat and i haven't had any problems so far.

Not sure, but I have the same hat. Good choice.
  6. No, it keeps the structure of the hat in place...my guess is that it does a better job in humid storage conditions...

I think the felt is a throwaway. It would make the hat pretty hot. There are a number of products that protect hats from sweat stains.

All my new Titleist hats over the past year seem to have them.
I have a lot of hair and leave them in without any problem.
