i was recently(this summer) sent the prototype test balls from titleist. I'm still doing a thorough evaluation and was wondering what people who had received them were thinking, and some of your opinions.

Very happy long off the tee and off of the irons with exceptional spin with the wedges. A solid ball with the putter and roles out very true.

A lot depends upon which Test Panel you were part of.  I believe that the balls were different for Test Panel #1 and Test Panel #2.

I agree..the balls I received were not Pro V1 for sure. Wish I knew what they were.  Did the survey.

I shot my best round all summer with the prototype prov1x. Long and true. Great spin and over all controll. More durable than the current v1x. Can't wait till they hit the shelf's. It was like it just did what I needed it to do.

I generally liked the ball, but not any more so than the Pro V1.  The frustrating part is that after conducting the survey as requested I can't seem to access any way to report back my results.  Come on T-team you are better than this!

    Hi Rich,

Thanks for helping out with the test. Here are the survey links that were included with the instructions on how to evaluate the prototypes. Hopefully this helps. Thanks again.

I received the V1x protos, and was pleasantly surprised to find them a little longer than the current x, and spin with my wedges was great.  I hope this sleeve turns out to be the next release of the V1x, it was a real winner.

  10. Mike, have been looking and waiting for new pro-v1. I have called a lot of stores that carry your balls and some didn't even know what I was talking about. When and where can I get the new v1. Bob Griffith,Harrisonville,Mo.

Andy J        I found that the spin on the greens was excellent.

I was luckily and happily put on the list and received 3 black numbered "test" balls. Those are not premium balls.

I am 64 y-o, and hit my 7i carry about  145 yds. carry at sea level.  I play at most 1x per week; lowest hdcp ever a 3, currently 11, lowest score ever a 66 - hit a lot of greens and made a lot putts.  These black-numbered test balls IMO are no better than a 3 of 5 green side.  I would rather play a NXT Tour than these balls. I also received three of the test balls late this Fall. I have been playing them in the cold and rain in the Northwest and am anxiously awaiting the new models. Great ball, distance and spin.

Played one of the Prototype balls you sent me, so far, so good. Nice action around greens,. With Driver, OK, but a little less carry than Pro V1x. Will give you more feedback soon.   Thanks Harry B.

Talk about old memories, for some reason, the last two seasons I have found two Acushnet Club Special golf balls. Does anybody

know when they stopped making them ?        Thanks Marc M
