Pro v1 and pro v1x

I know that the pro v1x is generally known as the distance ball, but I love the pro v1, and I don't really see a difference in distance.

I get more distance with the X but prefer the Pro V1. It's a great ball. I've been playing it since they first came out.

I honestly can't tell much of a difference between the new 2013 Prov1 and Prov1x. They have a very similar feel to me. I also find distance, spin, control and trajectory to be very similar as well. Many say the X is longer, but the two furthest drives I've ever hit have been with the Prov1. They're both amazing balls.

The only way you could tell the true difference is if you had a swing like Iron Byron. I've seen a lot of amatuers on the driving range as well as playing in stroke play tournaments, and I am sure that not every swing was the same speed nor on the same plane. Having said that, to me it is what feels the best. I know for a fact that a DT Solo does not feel the same as a ProV1x. And I can feel the difference between th 1x and the 1 off the tee, at least that is what I tell myself. But in truth, the only difference I can really tell between the 1x and the 1 is the difference when the ball hits the green when struck properly. Granted I am on the downward slide towards 70, and my sense of feel is not what it used to be, and my HI is not what I would like for it to be, but I am seriously hitting the ball farther and straighter than I ever have before on a regular basis. I attribute this to a better swing and better equiptment, and being fitted to my clubs. When I was fitted for my driver my swing speed was 96mph. not to bad for an old fart.
I hope I can say that.

i love the pro v1x. lower spin with long irons but still able to stop it on a dime with short irons and wedges. makes my mouth water talking about it lol

I used to play the ProV1 then switched to the 1x and haven't looked back. I think I'll buy a sleeve of new ProV1's this weekend and test them out against the new ProV1x.

For me, I find  the Pro V1 has more spin, around the green and off the tee as well, that is probably why I loose a little distance on the drive.  I also have to concentrate a little harder to avoid my natural slice raising its ugly head, but I like that too, it tends to keep me more focused :)
