Possible 2014 ProV1x???

Scott good point...

It is most likely the one you have on your profile, or it could be a random ball. It seems like they like to have people try out other similar balls and see what they like. Thats why they don't tell you what the balls are! Just enjoy being one of the lucky ones chosen to try out the balls! Tell us what you think of them!

DOGLOSKI

PLEASE LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF THEM AND HOW THEY COMPARE WITH THIS YEARS.

Chris R

I received some as well...I have the NXT Tour S in my profile, time for a comparison to what's in the bag...

This works out nicely, I have a business trip next week to Tucson and the clubs are going along for a couple of off hours rounds...looks like the test balls will get the desert treatment.

Evan01

Be careful using them in the fall! I lost two on the same day in the leaves at a local course. What a waste!

Don O

Since the ProV's were new for 2013, in keeping with the 2 year time cycle, the NXT/Velocity/DT Solo lines would be up for an updating this cycle.

Michael B

I received a sleeve today. The ball has larger dimples, similar to the NXT I am now using.

I have PRO V1 in my profile.  Two years ago I got TEST balls with a black number.  I assume that was the latest generation PRO V1.  This year I received TESTballs with a dark red number on them.  I assume this is the new NXT Tour.  Anyone else get the same?

vurich

would LOVE to give them a whack or three!

Antonio,

There is a good chance it is the ball listed in your profile, however ... it is a test ball.  Any time I have been asked to test a golf ball, I simply compared it to the ball I usually use, that doesn't mean it is the same type of ball.  The point of testing is to keep track of how the ball re-acts compared to what you usually use ... if it drives farther, make a note of it ... if it doesn't react as well around the green, make a note of that.

I think part of the reason it is marked simply "test" is so that we don't "KNOW" for sure what type of ball it is, that way we don't have any preconceived ideas as to how the ball will (or is supposed to) perform.

I always enjoyed comparing the two balls as two separate balls.  Have fun with the test.

Hey folks, Mike from Team Titliest has said many, many times, these balls are prototypes and are not balls that are in the market place, and might not ever make it there.

I have the Solo in my profile.  I just received a sleeve of balls with the dark red number on them, also.  Although our season is winding down, I will definitely be giving them a test this weekend.

clayton t

well you know its cool gift from titleist basicly saying play around on us let us know what you think....... the balls themselves may never go on the market....... but yet again these balls may have never been out and titleist maybe looking for these balls we test being next best thing...... it would be cool to think that i had a hand in new ball with a new style name pro v = next generaion

Clayton, Glad you have an angel, enjoy.

As most of us know, they only do ProV1/V1x every other year.  I tested what ended up being this years ProV1's.

Very good ball, but I usually play the ProV1x, so it actually spun more than I liked.

I agree, the dimples are larger than last year's prototype (I kept one untouched).  I'm playing 3 rounds in a row, starting on Friday, so I'll have a good idea what they do by then.  If I were to guess, I'd speculate they're either NXT or DT Solo.  I'll have a better idea by the end of the 3rd round.  Doesn't matter what they are, I'm just grateful to have an opportunity to try them out.

Something really cool about being a tester for Titleist - the number one ball maker in golf!

I know I'm supposed to have received an email from Team Titleist, but haven't seen it.  If any of the Titleist staffers see this - can it be resent to me?

Thank you!, -- P.J.

Rick V

P.J.,

I'll be happy to look into that for you and resend the email.

Good luck tomorrow!

Rick V.

Please post your thoughts on them. I've been playing the Pro V1x, but i"m interested in trying the Pro V1. What are your thoughts so far?

Would be cool to have the opportunity to test Titleist golf balls.  Great program, thanks Team Titleist!!!

Kurt Z

I received mine in the mail today.  They have red numbers similar to the NXT Tour which is in my profile.  Excited to be a part of Titleist testing and can't wait to get out and play them.

Brandon C

I have to admit that the Team Titleist program is an awesome thing to be involved with. As a relatively new member, I think it is great that Titleist as a company values our opinions enough to send out prototype products for real world players to test. Let us know how the new prototype (model unknown) feels.

jarrell r

I almost did the same thing but then i decided to hit the balls from 100 yards on the fairway then out the rough.  Then I moved back to the 150 and so on and so on.

Thomas C

Received a sleeve and will try them on Monday.  Looking forward to the "Test".

Parthur

Clayton T- that is really great news. I had the ProV1 test balls last year. Always willing to test a new ball for Titleist (Hint Hint). Have fun guys/gals and remember to record your feedback.

clayton t

i work couple days a week at driving range  the range is 400 yards also has 18 practice greens a bunker with 2 greens 1 at 50 yards the other 125 yards gives me chance to hit unlimited balls...... today is was 32 degrees  i pick range clean this morning... took the test sleeve and sleeve of each the following nxt tour, pro v1, and  pro v1x  with weather being in the 30s my test sleeve balls didn't get the loft as the others but 10 yards futher which is cool..... love the spin action i got.... next week warming back up to 70s im going do same test then go play

Just received my sleeve of golf balls. Played a round and they feel similiar to the NXT i currently use soft and great feel.

I got the same thing, 3 balls in white sleeve, no words. Ball says "test" with red #2. Played with it today and its longer than my previous ball. Could be the placebo effect, but it was 10-15 yds longer off of driver and fairway woods.

Todd G

Been holding on to the sleeve I got a week ago. Been saving them for a tourney I'm in this weekend. Plan on using them just to get in the competitions head. Word is already out that I'm bringing a secret weapon.

Michael O

Cover look and feel and appears to be like the Fusablend cover on the NXT line.  Also the dimple size is like the current NXT line. So far (1/2 round) performance appears to be similar to this line as well.  If the numbers color is consistent then mine would be the NXT tour.  If this is so, I can tell some differences from the current line.  Fun to guess and have the opportunity to part of R&D side.  Just want to be able to give them good feedback regarding feel, distance, trajectory and spin into and around the green.

Richard S

..........prepping for my 8:50 tee time at Orchard Valley & will test these balls - back shortly!

Daniel B

I received the "test balls"  in the mail.  I'm getting too old to use the ProV 1 balls--no clubhead speed.  I first dropped to the NXT versions then found that the Velocity works well for me.  I could tell no difference in the "test ball" and the Velocity.  I do love and have always prefered the trademark "TITLEIST" on my golf balls

patrick h

test balls 'black" arrived today.Out Monday for a test

drive.

Matthew S

I just received mine today. I was totally surprised. I had NXT Tour S optic yellow and received the sleeve of optic yellow ones. I was ready to put the clubs away for the season since Central Ohio has gone from Summer to Winter. Now, I think I'll be out to try them tomorrow.

D. F

Got my balls last monday, played them today in Minnesota. I usually play the NXT Tour and found these to actually roll much further on the ground with my drives than the NXT's or Pro-V's I've played in the past. My were black "1" and the word "test" on the side.  I liked them but as with happens in MN this time of the year, lost them in the leaves.

TOMAS B

I would be more than happy to test any of the Golf Ball's Titleist has to offer.  Just let me know Team Titleist, Thank you!

Tomas B.

Gary S

I was able to use these test balls this week. They feel great and are easy to play. They really sound and hit great. I was able to gain at lease 15 more yards . Please send me more.

David H

Being fairly new to team Titleist, I have yet to participate in any test/demos. Can't wait to try but love reading people's feedback on here. Hopefully this week it gets out of the 40s and I can get out and play a few rounds.

clayton t

seeing how the pro Vs new ones come out 2013 and they clubs every 2 years i say the balls to so i think the red number might be the new nxt tour but they may never been out

Kurt Z

Played 9 holes today with the red number ball.  50 degrees slight wind.  Ball had great distance with high ball flight, and straight.  Very nice around greens, even chipped one in from 20 yards off the green.  Nice soft feel off the putter.  Assuming this is the new NXT Tour, I'll be playing it when it comes out.

...Ditto.  Driver/woods/hybrids were all as long or longer than NXT Tour and Pro V1X.  On a par 5 with a dog leg I drove through the fairway.  A first.  Looked to be mostly on the roll out, but stopped around the green.  Pared both par 5s with second shots that kept going and going.(only had time to play 2 balls for  9 holes).  If the red number test ball comes to market, I'd be happy to buy it.  I've now moved on from the old NXT.

used one yesterday played 18 in 48 degree weather they were fantastic. great spin on the greens, and long ,and stright wish i knew what they were i,d buy a couple dozen for next year (only because my sons don,t buy balls or tees)(dad has them)

I received a sleeve of yellow titleist and I don't have a ball in my profile that I know of. No numbers on the ball, just yellow, says titleist and test.

I also received a sleeve and I hope they come out. I was very impressed and would use them for sure. I checked against Prov.dt and nxt and dimple pattern was different.

I really liked what I saw/felt! Had a very nice jump to to it, and seemed to have low spin but nice control around green.

I have been using staff duo for the lower spin and still good pop but this felt as good on the green, seemed to stop better but was very low spin off the tee.

I have always fought a slice, and usually don't get a lot of spin from irons.  I did some drills around the green trying to get spin, as well as my regular chipping and putting.

It's tough to judge because you never know how consistent your shots/swings are but:

It stopped quicker greenside. It rolled very smooth and seemed to jump off the putter..it took me awhile to adjust

I played 18 holes with 2 balls on each hole and it was usually longer and straighter. I walked off my approaches from landing mark to ball and it stopped on longer approaches about 2 yards sooner (maybe a touch more), and on shorter ones about 2 to 3 feet. Again I usually don't get a lot of spin on approaches.

I had actually moved away from Titleist balls just play lower spin balls. I like the e6 and duo, but this is a ball I would certainly look at and probably play. I was really pleased with it.

Plan on at least another practice session and round with it before I have to review it.

I received a sleeve of test balls last week. I have NXT in my profile.-- I've played two rounds with them. My distance was improved so much that my playing partners are accusing me of using an illegal ball! The test balls are black number 1, and the dimple pattern looks like the Velocity ball.  Whatever they are I want to order some more. Fairly soft feel , good ball flight and action.  How do I find out what they are and where I can get more.

Received some as well.  Played 9 on Saturday with one and compared to my ProV1x it was good off the tee but awfully hard around the greens.  Prefer the softer Prov1x chipping and putting.

That said I had some shots 150 yds and in that stopped within 3 feet of where they first hit the green.  Wonder if it's a ProV1x with a harder outer for durability they are testing?  hmmmm I'd gladly sacrifice some durability to have a softer ball to putt with!!

clayton t

well after testing driving chipping/pitching  and putting in 30s degree day and doing bounce test i tested in 70s driving chipping/ pitching and putting the red number ball added 15 to 20 yards after bounce and roll also nice spin on greens when pitching from 80 to 150 yards out...... so now ready start playing

clayton t

made my first hole in one today it was 1 of the test ball i played 9 with 1 ball and 9 with pro v1x the red number ball did seem feel softer and go longer

clayton t

i shot 82 today all time best

front 9 test ball back 9 pro v1x 1 hole in one front 9 that test ball is done it never be used again its got home on fire place mantel

Hey Clayton, congratulations on your Ace and your lowest round ever. Great to hear !

I received a sleeve last week. After playing three holes my reaction was " Is this ball legal?". I want to know if and when it will be available. I've playng bstone E6s and cally Hex Chromes . I believe the Titleist test balls I received outperforms the socks off of both.

Chris V

I recently received a sleeve. I haven't compared dimples, but the balls are white with the word "test" in the alignment marking. Notification was to expect an email with a survey link in two weeks, but I won't have been able to play in that time frame (Minnesota resident), so I hope I can respond after next week's trip to Florida.

A few years ago I got two sleeves with no markings other than a hollow blue circle on one, and a solid blue circle on the other. The difference I could tell is that the hollow blue circle balls were softer. Or so my easily misled mind told me. Oh, and the solid circle balls went 0.25% farther. It was like a miracle.

rob k

I just got some with the red number as well. Living in Ohio, was lucky enough to have a few days warm enough. They respond a lot like NXT Tour or Velocity with a little different feel. I really like them.

PhillyFan

I received a sleeve on Sat. 10/26 - Black # with Test stamped on one side.  I don't remember what ball I had listed in my profile but, since this Spring I've been using the  2013 version of the bstone E-6 & E-5 balls.

So far I've done a putting & chipping test, using the E-5, E-6 & the 'Test' ball and have played one round. The 'Test' ball felt as soft as the E-6 off of the putter & wedges but had more spin when chipping. Overall feel was better then the E-5 ball. On the course I liked the overall performance of the 'Test' ball, over the E-5 but thought the E-6 was very similar.

On the day I received the sleeve of test balls, I had ordered 2 dozen of the NXT Tour S balls. I just received those in the mail the other day. So, I need to do further testing, comparing the "Test" ball to the NXT Tour S ball,

Thanks to Team Titleist for including me in their Beta testing.

John A

I got mine last week, I can tell mine are not ProV's, look more like NXT's.  I play'd with them yesterday, pretty consistant ball flight, and seemed to climb a bit higer than my usual ball, and certainly sat quickly and softly too...overall, I'd buy the darn'd things if I knew what they were...drives were about average, nothing more or less, most of the difference I saw was in the mid irons and wedges...60 degree had them up and down with slightly better performance than I'm used to, but then I may have just had a good day, so I'll try them again on Sunday...Players like me (low to mid 90's) can't really judge a ball on one round...

Matthew R

I got my sleeve in the mail the other day and immediately took them out to the course...LOVED THEM.  The feel was so much better and from 100 yards and in - WOW, much better control around the greens and much softer feel.  I have Velocity in my profile but I dont think the test balls I got are anything close to velocity but I love them and would switch in a heartbeat!

I recently had to update my profile with a new email address and was hoping I could also get the email request for feedback resent to me.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to test!

Diane of Ridgeway

Mine were marked in black: Titleist 1 & <test>. They flew really far! Are we allowed to use these in tournaments and to post scores?  Not sure if they comply with Rules of Golf...

Louis M

Just received a sleeve in the mail last night and the survey link email today.

Ball has slightly larger dimples than current gen Pro V1 and Pro V1x. Markings are Titliest logo, red #1 and the word TEST on alignment aid.

I'm a recent joiner to the forum and really appreciate the chance to test this ball.  I plan on testing two of them this weekend and giving the other to a work buddy who's a 4hcp.

Raymond C

Am impressed w/this ball; Black, Titleist 1 and test.   Unfortunately, weather in PA now is not conducive to much of a test.

Wet grounds and lower temps make for poor conditions for comparison.

Got the email today from Titleist asking for my opinions of this "test" ball but have only played ONCE!

Balls came last week and email today.....my reply will not signify very much info of any value.

Hope that Titleist will advise us what this test ball becomes, if anything.

BILL W

If all black markings it is a ProV1, if it has a red # it is a ProViX

as far as i can find they can be used in toury play  under append. 3 as long as they not any different in size, shape, weight ECT.

Ron M Just finished with the test balls - yellow. All irons were 6-10 yards longer. The driver was 10+ yards longer consistently with good roll. Disappointed that shots to greens rolled out 10+ feet further most of the time. Otherwise, an excellent ball. If anyone finds out the type, please post.

russel m

I've had the same experience with my test sleeve.

NANOOK

I along with all here received a sleeve of new balls. I would go with the assumption that the sleeve you receive is based on what you use in your preferences.  I use the NXT Tour / Tour S optic yellow.  What did I receive a sleeve of optic yellow balls marked "Test".  My only issue was that these came late int he year for me as weather in MI is hit or miss these days so the day I got out to hit these balls it was b/t 43-46 degrees, a little chilly but not too bad. What I found was about the same amount of control around the greens and on the approach.  The difference I found was distance off the tee and with my 3 wood and long irons.  I played a 530+ yard par five in three shots. Nuked the drive which set up a mid 3 hybrid shot that I sent onto the green and then just off the the back edge.  A lucky 35 foot left to right break putt for a sweet eagle.  I followed that up with a birdie on the very next par 4.  If this is in fact the next version oft he NXT Tour S, I'm loving it! Thanks for the test balls Titleist!

Mark B

I got Black “TEST” # 1 and I play the Titleist NXT Tour ball. I have played the test ball and my ball (NXT Tour) side by side, it takes a little time and you do find yourself explaining why you are playing two balls, but everyone seemed cool with it after I told them it was an official Titleist test program. Oh and nobody wanted to play through! I measured the drive distances and calculated in distances off line. My average drive distance with the “Test” ball was 21 yards additional distance, the “Test” ball also was easier to spin to a short stop on the green, it had nice control. But it also showed wear after only playing two holes and was what I would call well used with some rough spots and fuzz after 18 holes. For tournament play this would be the ball for me and for daily recreational play that would depend on price point. And back to the golf course and all the other players who watched me play, after I showed them my math and with them seeing me play it is going to be a popular ball.

Mark M

I  played  with mine  for  36  holes- black  numbers.  They seemed to have more spin off the driver than the  ProV1x or  Velocity I play but  more  spin around the  green too. Great to be part of the  test  proogram!

David W

Received received a sleeve of "test" balls.   Seemed similar to NXT S, but much longer with hybrids.

ToddL

If they are test balls, you cannot use them in Competition.

Ron L

I received a sleeve also.  Would like to know what they are.  They went straighter and farther for me.   B'stone E-6 is in my profile.  Played with them in 40 -  45 degree weather and saw improvement.  I would buy them if I knew what they are.  Thanks for the opportunity.

Aaron r

i guess a velocity or nxt...they have very little spin and land on green with a thud and don't move

I received the test balls last week and played 3 rounds with 1 ball till I lost it in leaves. It was great.More distance and confidence

I also received a sleeve of test balls and absolutely loved them. Took the feedback survey and I am hoping to obtain more of them and also find out what type of ball it is. Very curious indeed!

I received a sleeve as well, played with them this week. I would compare the ones I received to the NXT which is my ball of choice. The balls with test on the side certainly raised some eyerbrows in my group when I pulled them out.

Jerelle A

I usually play the NXT line and Wilson 50 Elite during the colder months. The Wilson 50 Elite has been a solid winter golf ball for me. Can't wait to try them out and see how they perform

aboren531

I got the sleeve of balls and played them last weekend. It is a shame we never know what they are because I LOVE these balls.  Longer and firmer off the tee, great check up ability on pitch shots and only had 28 putts in the first round I played with them.  Took a bit to get used to the firmness compared to the NXT ToursS but once I did they were awesome. Seems every part of the game was better.  I had to select shorter irons on approach as the shots were sailing long on the fairway shots.

Dennis M

It's been a while since I rec'd my test ball. I rec'd 3 different sleeves (marked square, circle & plain) with quite a different result on the three. Would love to receive more of them to test.

Yesterday, 11/01 I played a round using the 'Test Ball" & a NXT Tour S ball. I switched balls every 2 holes. I hadn't played the NXT Tour S ball in quite awhile - liked it. But this prototype ball was the overall winner. It just felt better to me, especially off of the putter. It also produce better spin on short iron & wedge approach shots.  Distance wise I didn't see any large significant changes between the e-6, NXT Tour S & the Prototype balls. It may be that with my swing speed [I'm an old guy] I get what I get no matter what ball I play.

All I know is if & when this Prototype ball is released for sale on the retail market I'm buying it! Until then I''ll use the NXT Tour S balls. I liked them more then the ball [e-6] I've been mostly using this year.

Great job Titleist!

mine were marked in black also...test 1......not much difference in distance...but they just have a great feel. I actually play srxn Q-stars...this test ball was great...especialy around the green..much more control...putts seemed to be more true, and chipping was much more controlled. Even holed out a 15 yard greenside chip that flew about 11 yards and rolled right in. I had 2 upa nd down from bunkers, and my bunker paly is horrible. I want to know what these are...and how much??????

Happy to say I was  received a sleeve as well. Black numbers. I usually play NXT Tour balls. I played 9 with the prototype balls today. They were amazing. No way they are legal. I was 15 yards father with the Prototype with the driver, about 10 with long irons. With short irons, the ball flew higher and spun more. And the ball went straighte with all my clubs, especially my driver. I tend to push the ball with my driver but this ball just seemed to want to stay straight and draw! It felt much softer than the NXT Tour, too. Loved the ball and hope one day it comes out. Truly an amazing experience playing with the prototype.

Also just received a test sleeve.... Will try them out tomorrow.

I have been playing the 3 balls I received and so far it seems like it is a bit harder,...does not grip the green as well when I chip with it....either a PW or a 54....  Good distance....seems to be as long as a Pro V1 and Pro V1x.    Good ball overall.  I would say it looks like it is some sort of NXT....based on the dimples and softness/hardness of the cover.

Steven K

So this is a good point.  For any of those that have been testers before, have you ever been given any indication of what ball these eventually went to market as?  Would be nice to be able to play the commercial version if they are working for your game.

This may not be practical due to the fact that Titleist may be only testing one element of the ball on the particular test ball that was sent out but still curious.

I received a sleeve last week. After playing three holes my reaction was " Is this ball legal?". I want to know if and when it will be available. I've playng bstone E6s and cally Hex Chromes . I believe the Titleist test balls I received outperforms the socks off of both.

John W

I too received Titleist 1 with "test" marked on them.   They were just excellent balls flying straight, longer than normal for my swing speed and quite compressible.   I would buy them today.   I have the NXT tour S in my profile and liked the test ball better.

Tom S

Anyone want to take a guess at the compression ratings for these balls?

I love the Duo & was hoping Titleist would put out something similar.

gorski00

Similar experience here.  Tested them today and was bombing them off the tee. Didn't love them around the green but that may have been user error today!  Either way super fun process.  Love the opportunity.

David G

Your right  Sherman , Never seen anything come off the club face like that. (never) Been playing 55 years and used every ball made never hit a ball 276 at age 64 (Never).

Kathy G

How did the test balls perform for you? Did you see any difference? I know I did and my foursome also noticed that I was hitting the ball 20 yards longer on most shots.

David G

Kathy my young friend hit it and it went 305 ,,hahaha answer YES it will go and it also will stop on a dime. I want some.

David G

I would say 60

Mike B

Anybody receive a test version of the new PROV1X?  If so, were you able to see any noticable changes vs. the 2013 model?

Jeff H

I do believe it is the NXT model

e j c

Hi I'm with you on this. At my fave course , par 5, 565 yds. My third shot was 70 out from back flag location.

JeffDux

i received also a sleeve of 3 white test balls two weeks ago. Whatever they are I want them! I am more of a line drive hitter (on purpose with woods) and my irons get sufficient height but not impressively so. With these, they climb fast and stayed high for a long time. The result has been longer tee shots, and softer landings with my irons. My irons may be slightly shorter but I would trade that distance for the consistancy of the height, aim, and soft landings any day!

I have the "Velocity" balls in my profile, but these are definitely not them. I always thought that a golf ball was a golf ball was a golf ball. Not anymore; I would replace my Velocity's with these in a heartbeat. I would also clean out from my bag all my cally balls that I had been using.

Titleist; Please tell me what they were and where I can get them. If you need warehouse space, send me the excess!! :)

Not sure gonna try them tomorrow but they look shinny-ier than the ProV1

Just received a sleeve of a new Test ball in the mail. Anybody have any idea what line it is. Thanks

Used the Test Balls in two rounds last week. They are like the PRO V1 but harder, lost distance but they were in the Fairway., liked them on the short game and they held the green. Didn't like to put with them because I lost a bit of that feel. It was cold out both times I used them and that may have some effect however a few times I used regular PRO V 1's and I got my distance back but lost the middle of the Fairway.

I received a sleeve also.  Would like to know what they are.  They went straighter and farther for me.   B'stone E-6 is in my profile.  Played with them in 40 -  45 degree weather and saw improvement.  I would buy them if I knew what they are.  Thanks for the opportunity.

I played them in temp's of 38 degree in the morning and again at 50 degrees. Lost distance but they did go straight. Hard cover and you can feel it when I hit them. I did like how they held the green and I don't get much back spin on normal days however I Didn't like how they felt in a putt. I will play with them a few more rounds and compare them to the bstone B330 RX and my PRO V1's I use.

Kurt V

I received 2 sleeves of Optic yellow 2 weeks ago. Felt a bit softer than NXT tour S. Carried on full swings similar and a bit more spin around greens. Subtle but better. Played 3 rounds with one. Maybe ill tee them up at Wolfdancer tomorrow.

Jeff G

I received the Black on Black test balls.

Super soft, high launch, added distance.  What's not to like?  I would switch to this ball in a heart beat.

Only negative is they do not float.

Steve M

My sleeve of test balls also had red numbers. Compared to the NXT Tour I usually use, these seemed to have a little more spin. I tried them on a cool day last week and they were not as long at first, but once I loosened up seemed longer. Can't say what they might be, but felt like NXT or possibly Velocity. Anyway, it was fun!

John D

I got them as well. I have bstone E6 in my profile. These new ones had the spin control of my bstone but had a lot more distance. I cant wait to find out what they are as well Im switching.

Ric Y

I've received a sleeve of the white and a sleeve of the yellow balls.  I didn't like the white balls at first, they seemed hard as a rock when I first played them.  But I completed 54 holes today on a par 3 course and swapped the two balls back and forth.  I seemed to hit the white balls further and had more spin on the yellow balls.  I could easily incorporate either ball in my game.  I know that I love Titleist for giving me the chance to test balls for them.  Makes me feel more like a pro than I have any right to.............

RODNEY S

I have not recieved mine this year? I may go into withdrawals- Have you tried them yet?

MEL A

plays like a valisety

David G

Mel did you think it was a little softer?

Marilyn B

My husband and I both received a sleeve of white 'test' balls early November.  He received and completed a survey, but I did not then receive a survey to reply my findings.   I am curious as to what ball I was using.  I currently use a bstone E6 series.  The test ball was as good, and possibly gave me more distance off the tee.  I would  hope to discover the name of the ball I used.

C'ome man....what's the deal?     Were these balls (black 1 and "test") an existing ball or something new??

Inquiring minds want to know....plus maybe pay some $$$ for these guys.

Thanks

e j c

I'm with you Raymond, will T  Let us in on the info?  I really liked the ball( maybe a bit softer , please), but distance, spin, were all great in my opinion.

Chris K

I played 4 rounds with the Test Balls. I like them but need to be a bit softer. I looked at the ones I have and they are allot like the ProV1X. I lost distance but did gain some control. I kept them in the Fairway and they did hold the green real well. For some reason the hard feel on impact was odd but if I can keep the ball in the Fairway with a little loss in distance I like them. Can't wait to try them in warm weather. Each round has been in the 40's.

Jim E

I received a sleeve also. Seems to be just as long as the NXTs I play or longer. Around the green I've notice just a little more spin. Normally my NXTs stick like a yard dart with no backspin. These will draw back of full shots with 8 irons and less. My wedges have checked up a little more than I'm used to. Left my self a few long putts. Now that I have one ball left I'm starting to trust it to check up. I will say this. Its one tough mother. I played this last ball for 5 rounds of golf and its a little fuzzy on one side. I've had to remark this ball 4 times. I my wear out my shapie before the ball. Normally my ball doesn't hang around this long.

John A

I"m down to one ball left, they seem to perform better than the e6 for me...a bit longer, and better control...stop on the green very well, and putt true...if I ever find out what they are, I'll sure buy some...

Chris K

I know Jim, they are tough, I still have all three of mine and yesterday I found one that someone left in a Bunker Now I have 4 :) I do like how they hold the green, but it's early to tell. Up north here the greens are soft and balls stick well.

Don O

There are multiple Test bals.  Apparently there are black numbers and dark red numbers, as well as at least one variety of test yellow balls.

I got the white balls with dark red numbers.  I haven't used the NXT Tour-S, but these red numbers have been in the same distance or longer than I was getting with either the NXT Tour and Pro-V1x.  For me, all 3 held greens equally and better than other 2 piece and older 3 piece balls I've used in the past.  On one drive, the Test ball got my best distance for the year.  On a par 5 dogleg, I normally come up 30 yards short of going through the fairway, hoping to get far enough to aim down the fairway w/o cutting the corner..  Through it.  On another, my approach shot is normally a 5 or 6 iron, and I used a PW to get on the green in regulation.  If my ball gets to production - I need to find out which one.

First Tee is geting a donation of all secret stashes (down to my last 3 NXT's) of full sleeves and boxes.  Now if it only came in visible yellow I won't have to spend so much time trying to find them when they go further than I can follow.

David G

Don, same here longest ball I have played and I have played the all

herbert h

No idea what ball it is, but I wish I knew. I would definitely buy them, I really was impressed with them.

Putterboy59

Try out new test balls.Hit all three in round.Average drives about 230 -240 yards.Held the greens good.Ball has soft feel to it.Only problem with balls they cut easy.Overall found balls very good.

I got the ones with the red numbers.  I can't wait to find out the real name.  Tested the nxt tour S both white and yellow last yeat and was very impressed by the performance.  This new one exceeded my expectation by a long way and I definately want to know what the new test balls are so I can get more in my bag!!!!!!!!!!
