Test Balls

    I normally do not play Titleist golf balls......but, I tried these test balls and was truly impressed.   In fact, I shot the lowest score I've had in the past 5 years.  These balls had 'orange' numbers on them?  I do not know which Titleist ball these were - - but, I'd like to know - - as I may be convinced to change brands.

    I believe you were playing the Titleist Velocity. I tried one in February for the first time on the back nine at Kiva Dunes in Alabama. A friend of mine gave me one. I usually play with the ProV1x, I think the Velocity is a harder ball. I didn't think it played as well around the greens, read, less spin, it felt harder coming off the putter (Scotty Cameron), but as an 8 to 12 handicap I am prone to mis-hits and can't blame everything on the ball. I bought a dozen 2 months ago and still have 2 sleeves but am going back to the Prov!x, for me it's a better fit. I find it easier to work the ball with my draw. The velocity tends to fly straighter and I leave it out to the right more, read, I don't have a great swing. LOL
