This thread began in March 2013, four years ago - still no ProV1 in yellow!

Tired of waiting, I have moved on: playing the cally SuperSoft yellow and the yellow/black Truvis.

Too bad, Titleist. You snooze, you lose. I had been playing Titleist for over 50 years. You lost me. I won't be back, unless and until the ProV1 goes yellow.

Not sure what the issue is with Pro V1 in optic yellow. I played Pro V1's all the time but have switched to the cally Chrome because it does come in optic yellow. It's easier to follow the flight of the ball, MUCH easier to see when you get off the fairway, and performs well.

i know its probably been asked before but would anyone else like to see a yellow optic pro v like the nxt tour s, I for one would they'd be great to use all year but more so coming in autumn/ winter??

There have been numerous requests in the past. Titleist has never officially commented if they ever would. Any number of folks with various visual acuity issues have said they'd rather buy a ProV instead of any other brand's urethane cover ball in optic yellow.

I also would like to see a yellow pro V line of balls. I am a 6 hdcp. and 66 years old...and color blind. Owned a golf shop for 20 years and have never played another ball since college days. Titleist...listen to your consumers.

Player, not the ball. I guess John D. and his clothing line is unprofessional then. His bright loud clothing line for loudmouth golf has made him wealthy. Titleist fans deserve the request.

It seems like a lot of us would buy yellow Pro V's. I know I would be one. Here's hoping that sometime soon they produce a yellow Pro V. For now I will keep playing my white Pro V1x

I am 50 plus and I love my prov1's. But as stated with age comes problems in keeping track of a white ball. I play NXT tour S in yellow 60%of the time especially when playing alone. I spend more money in a year on golf between me and keeping my grandson equipped than I dare admit. And I too would hit solely Prov1 if offered in Yellow. And while I hate saying it I will from time to time hit competitors offerings in yellow in search of a premium yellow ball and Cally is getting serious with the new Chrome. I really hope that Titleist realizes the need soon and I can start getting the preformance I want from a ball in a yellow color with ProV1 written across it.

I went to a local Team Titleist Pro V1 launch event in early February. When asked about a yellow Pro V1, the Titleist rep said that Titleist has explored the idea but making a yellow ball would involve additional or different manufacturing processes. Since the 2013 and 2015 Pro V1s are more durable because of an improved paint process, Titleist should research the necessary steps to bring a yellow Pro V1 to market. People complained enough about scuffing that Titleist improved the durability. Maybe enough complaints about an easy to see optic Pro V1 will make it a reality.

[/quote] I have responded to every thread on optic in the Pro-V line as hoping that enough response from the TT threads may make a difference. I usually mention I've tried about every other premium/mid-premium in search of an overcast day ball. And still searching - I haven't tried the B and S products for a couple of editions and there is a new C option that their #1 pro is now promoting. I'd really hate to try to switch balls from day to day, but apparently it is not enough of an issue, yet, at Titleist. Do note that the concierges pretty much only limit conversations to not mention other players or companies directly, and allow these posts to be released. Not every company is willing to post reviews/comments that are less than just wonderful about their products or services. Which I am thankful for. I just have a personal problem trying to follow white balls on overcast days. Even on sunny days, optic is still easier but I can usually follow a white ball far enough to know where to start looking for it. If they follow the money, they may find we spend as many dollars as the declining pool of golfers under 45.

Jack - don't get me wrong. Even if they only offered optic as part of the loyalty program, I'd buy them by the boxful. Golf is a funny game. Traditions die hard. it took tennis balls less time to leave the white balls on the scrap heap. Looking at the demographics of the boomers - we're all over 50, there has to be a market for optic premium balls, and 3 other OEMs offer urethane optic balls. I just haven't found one close enough to replace my Pro-V1x on blue sky days.

This is a very harsh reply which smacks of the "good ole' boy's club" attitude. To suggest "yellow golf balls look unprofessional..." is a personal opinion, to which others might disagree. If there is a valid reason to use a yellow ball, e.g. eyesight problems, Titleist should respond to its customer base. Also, to suggest that another ball "...would more than likely be a better fit anyway," is a put down and is not good for the game. Think how young kids just starting to play the game might react to this. Kids love color, which allows them to express themselves; we should be good role models and set the example for them--put downs are not part of that! As to the business end, which another reply opined, I say if they can make a yellow Tour S, then they can make a yellow ProV.

Having choices is a good thing, the very essence of Democracy. In a game already encumbered with too many rules, I see having color choices as a good thing. Let's promote the game without negative comments and just have fun; that will bring more kids into the game.

We Baby Boomers represent a large portion of the population and I do see a good number of low handicappers playing yellow golf balls in tournaments due to their lack of ability to follow the golf ball. They are going to premium balls in other brands. Supply and demand dictates which types of balls manufacturers produce. Obviously, the numbers are not there for them to run a special line of yellow Provs. I am sure that the Marketing Department has done research on this issue. These other brands are far behind Titleist in sales and R&D. Being a disabled veteran, I can identify with your concerns and it not something to take lightly. The individual who said he would not use a Prov if it came in yellow kinda shows his concern more about the one than about benefiting the many. I am a Titleist loyalist period and I will continue to play the number one ball and will choose the one that works for me.

The problem is promoting a premium ball to all serious golfers. The competition that promotes products based on driver swing speeds only has optic covers in the lower speed lines (is optic still a gimmick?). Surely, Titleist has marketing data on how much business they would gain - and lose, if the best of breed had an optic cover. So the Catch-22 is, it is good enough for us but most likely would hurt the brand/franchise if it came in an optic cover. In one of these threads, one TT member actually stated he wouldn't use a white Pro-V if it came in yellow. ..Beats me, his ball would still be white and still the best ball. That's Titleist's dilemma.

I fully agree with Dwayne that Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x enthusiast shouldn't be penalized from playing a premium golf ball. PLEASE make a yellow Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x! Thanks!

I too am over 50 and I am a diabetic. And unfortunately the disease has affect my eye sight and while I prefer the feel and preformance of the ProV's I am forced to play the NXT tour S in yellow when playing solo so I cAn keep up with it. So Titleist Fan 1 why should I be penalized from playing a premium grade golf ball ? That's kind of selfish of you. So please Titleist give it a thought for us old guys with disabilities.
