Thank you Titleist for allowing me the honor to test these!!  Loved the experience and balls too.  They seemed to spin a bit less, a little distance and cover seemed a bit harder than my Pro V1's I play but very little difference with feel.  Not sure if these were Pro V1 X balls, but they loved how they felt and played!! Thanks again for the opportunity and experience - Johnny

I seemed to get less spin than the V1x off the tee with my test balls. Irons played longer. A bit hot around the greens with LOB wedge. Sand shots stopped well. What are we playing with???

I have been playing Titleist since Adam took a bite of Eve's apple. I have tried just about every brand and ball type around and ALWAYS go back to ye ol' number one, Titleist. Due to my advancing years, finally switched from Pro V1 to Pro V1x for the extra five yards. Took awhile to regain the short game touch, but am now happy with the switch. Had to take three weeks away to allow an injury heal, so my swing not tight enough to be sure, but I did give the test balls a slight edge over my old reliable pro V1x's. I do like the test balls and would not hesitate to give them a September call-up with a chance to make the team next spring - as long as the brand says TITLEIST. Just want to know the make and model so I can buy a dozen when Titleist puts them on the street.

Received my test balls and played them today. They seemed to really fly off the driver, straight and longer. I tend to slice and the test ball seemed not to side spine so much. I was really concentrating on trying to watch my setup and mechanics. I did have trouble with distance control on my 100 yards and in closer shots. I just could not dial in the correct distance. Too far---too short---no happy medium. Unfortunately I lost 2 in the water and think it was due my trouble with distance control that contributed to the mishits. Anyway, I was able to survive 18 holes and have one ball left which will go on the shelf with my collection of special/memorable balls. Thanks for the opportunity to be part of this process. You have definitely earned my product loyalty.

me too enjoyed taking the test balls for a test run.

I thought the drove longer and had a lot more action on them with short irons and wedges.

    Send some more (!). :)

I've been reading nothing but good reviews of the new balls. Can't wait to play them myself when they come out for retail

I'm 56 years old and run to the mailbox every day to see if any Titleist test balls have arrived. None today. Maybe tomorrow.

Hey just wondering how can I receive some test balls to try out?

  10. Current ball ProV1X ,test ball ProV1X 2017. Great penetrating ball flight into the wind and carried further with driver.
More spin with wedges from all distances and great feel off putter face.
Would put these in my bag immediately!

  11. Played these balls yesterday, found them to feel great off the putter, got plenty action from them on my short game, you are rewarded with plenty spin and control when you have a good strike! Sound and feel great...
Would play these balls for sure if your game from 100 yards in is the most important thing in your game like me.
  12. Tried these balls out and found them a bit hard off the tee but around the green they reacted very well. Putting was ok but again slightly hard off the putter face.
Overall a good ball, was longer with drives and irons as others have said but I still would have preferred the feel from current balls.
Felt more like an NXT than a ProV.

    Glasgow,

Hi guys , tried my first test ball on Saturday and they felt as tho' I hit them higher and slightly longer . Wee chips of the green didn't spin so much and the feel off the putter head was smooth and ran true .
Good thing about the balls..... I didn't lose them :)
    Will use again this weekend
Thank you for letting me try them out
    cheers , P.

Took my Titleist test balls to the course over the weekend. Standing on the first tee, the coating felt harder than my usual Pro V1. Although I was playing in winter conditions, with not so much run and soft greens, the test balls felt good on the strike from the club face. They certainly felt firmer off the driver. In saying that they still achieved good control on the green and checked-up on short wedge shots......even when a little run out would have helped! They rolled really nicely off the putter face, giving good feedback with all clubs. They seemed to be a really good winter golf option, but I'd like to see how they perform in perfect Summer conditions.
Thanks for the opportunity to test.
