  1. received a sleeve of test balls last week. Thank you Titleist. Played with them this weekend and I have to say they played similarly to the Pro V1 I usually play. They seamed a little bit firmer off the putter face, marked up a little easier from my irons, but overall very impressed. More please??

I was also lucky enough to receive a sleeve of test balls last week and put them straight into action over the weekend in a Saturday swindle comp.I can only assume the balls I received were Pro V1x due to the red numbers and that is what's listed as my ball on the TT profile.

The weather this weekend in the UK was gusty with showers and about 12*. I wasn't quite on my game but I think that was a good thing as it showed up the new balls performance in the wind...definitely more stable!

They feel slightly softer off the putter face compared to the previous version which I also liked.

Would be nice to have had a sleeve of the other test ball to compare with to see the differences in flight and spin?

I'm hoping to play later this week and spend some time hitting Old and Test balls side by side to get a better idea of the differences. I've also got a fitting for new iron shafts lined up and hoping that I can have a few minutes on trackman to see the differences and how the new ball might work with the new set-up.

Durability is improved which says something as the previous version was better than the competition in my opinion.

Hope this helps you guys - feel free to invite me on a 915 Test Day

The sleeve I received (thank you!) is probably V1X or similar (red letters, fits my profile, too much control for NXT). Taking autumn temperatures into account, the ball flight is maybe a little lower, which is good, and control and feel are excellent. Definitely a little softer on putter face that 2013 model, which again I like. Distance remains excellent.

Just wondering. I filled out a form about three months ago to test Titleist golf balls. Is it done for the year? Or do I still have a chance to be one of the lucky ones. Either way, no other balls but Titleist go in my Titleist bag.

    Play well,

Delighted to receive a sleeve of test balls - black numbers. Have tried them out over the last 4 rounds in pretty windy and cool conditions.

No significant difference in distance off the tee or with fairway woods and med/long irons - possibly slightly lower ball flight.

Lovely feel when hitting short irons and great feel off the putter head - so much so that I won the 'cash' within our group on both days!

The cover seemed more durable - no scuff marks or dulling of the cover - indeed it kept it's 'brightness' much longer than previous balls.

I still much prefer using Titleist Pro V1 balls - keep up the good work

    Glasgow,

Delighted to receive a sleeve of test balls, red numbers.

Have played 2 rounds with one ball, plays very similar to ProV1x, slightly firmer feel of putter .   The cover is durable, still looks good after 2 rounds, on wet ground

Only switched to Pro V1x's earlier this year, after 40 years of using everything but them,  have to say I am sold on them now, looks like I will be using Prov1x's from now on.

I received the test balls and played them for three rounds, Pro V1x red numbers, and thought very highly of them. Slightly lower ball flight and more stopping control. I like that they spun about the same for me as I can spin the ball more than necessary sometimes. I will be picking up the new Pro V1x balls when they come out. Jim

I received a sleeve of what I believe to be ProV1 balls. Used one in the optional sweep last Saturday and missed buffer by one but the ball performed well. Just back from the course having played 11 holes with the test ball and an older ProV1. The new ball consistently went around 10 yards further with my irons in particular. The course is soft and the greens slow at this time of year so difficult to judge performance on the finesse shots but the test ball had a slightly softer sound off the putter face. This could be useful when the greens are faster but is generally personal preference.

First impressions would be positive and certainly keen to test again next year when the conditions are firmer and faster.

Handicap 5 but medium speed swing, regular shafts so 10 yards pretty significant!
