  1. I was lucky enpugh to receive 3 test balls just before the weather turned really cold.

I found the balls to be long with the Driver and 3 wood, and really great control around the greens, with slightly less spin than the Pro V 1   and Pro V 1 x

I feel the new test balls are between my normal ball Pro V 1x and NXT Tour, so would be a valuable addition to the Titleist range of top quality premium balls.

Does anyone have the link to review the test balls.

I got a sleeve but it's been so cold in KC that I just got around to testing and don't have the link.

    Thanks.

I also received a sleeve of test balls and only had the chance to try the new ball out this week. I found it a great addition to the Titleist range. I usually play the Pro V or NXT Tour but found the test ball had most of the properties of the Pro V. It felt good off the driver and had a consistent penetrating flight. The feel off the irons was also good and it came off the putter with a good roll. The bite on the greens was not as good as the Pro V but it was not far behind. All in all another good Titleist and one I would be happy to play with on a regular basis. Well done Titleist!

I agree they were very good balls. Great distance and behaved well on the greens. I would really like to know what they were as I have played most all of the Titleist balls and have had good luck.
  6. I agree Mick, they fit between the NXT and the ProV1x I had the distance of the NXT and the feel of the Pro V1x. Nice ball.

Biggest difference for me was durability.  I played 54 holes with one ball and it barely had a scratch.  Just a place or two where the SM5 took a small bite...

Durability is something Titleist is obviously paying attention to over the past couple of years.  Assuming that my test sleeve was ProV1, they're making huge strides every time.
