A friend of mine always has his ball marked with 2 dots in RED beside "Titleist" and another with BLUE line extending the putting line.

I like to leave mine without any marks unless I'm playing a tournament in which I will underline "Titleist" in RED. What do you guys do?

Couldn’t agree more. It’s a classic marking. I mean the pro v1 is the guideline.

I generally use either: two red dots with one blue dot arranged in a "triangle" OR I will get really crazy and use one red dot, one blue dot and one black dot arranged in a "triangle" below the Titleist logo. I do that on both sides of the ball. Not too crazy, but distinct enough that I can readily identify my ball!

One black dot below the number one one side of the ball.

I put 3 dots in a line under the number on both sides. I started this when my 3 kids were really young, they thought it was cool so I never changed.

So many Titleist balls out there, even if it's not a tourney I like to identify my ball easily.

I usually have my balls printed with "MONEY $ BALL" so I don't have to mark with a sharpie.  If I do not have any of the printed balls available, I will mark with a dollar sign with a sharpie.  This is how I used to mark my balls and everybody referred to them as "Money Balls" hence the imprint.  The only downside is sometimes the sharpie will come off.  Below is a funny shot of a 60 degree wedge from earlier this year after hitting a ball with a dollar sign on it from a sharpie.

  10. nice pic!  Actually had the same thing happen to me.  I always put a $ before the number.  One time it left a perfect mirror image on a 9iron.  didn't take a pic though.

  12. That's good. I would be afraid to see that imprint show up after a great wedge shot. LOL

Three dots in a triangle around the #.  Three children... special, simple, clean.

Custom imprint and plat number with the addition of a dot on the left side of Titleist and a line on the side. The color of the marking will vary based on playing competitor's colors. I usually have 5-6 different colored sharpies in the bag.

4 years ago, I wanted a color that no one else uses. Well I went to the Sharpie display at Staples and there it was, raspberry. I grabbed a couple and ever since it's been a raspberry line over the alignment stripe.

I always circle the numbers in blue sharpie and then color in 4 dimples under the ProV1 putting line.

The four dots remind me to hit though the ball.

"If it isn't moving monogram it!"-Reese Witherspoon (Although i don't agree with her choices in her personal life this is true)

I am a fan of marking all my balls with my monogram (the first letter of your first middle and last name)  it adds a personal flavor that cannot be beat by other shapes.

call me old fashioned but it does the job!

I circle the number on both sides of the Titleist and have been doing this for close to 15 years now. It would feel foreign to change. and I always make my ball. It's a habit that started years ago that stuck. I'm actually surprised how many players I see that DON'T mark their ball. Steve

I make a single green dot just above the number and below the "Titleist" on both sides of the ball. I used to use a blue dot, but I lost that Sharpie.

I do the same thing. Green is my favorite color

  39. Terr R.  I mark my Titleist Pro V by drawing a putter alignment thru the Pro V 1 arrow with a black sharpie and put a black dot on the right side of the number on one side and a black dot on the left side of the number on the other side.

I don't like a lot of writing on my ball either. Many, many years ago a pro showed me that on a Titleist ball there is usually a dimple in one side that lines up under the number. I take my scoring pencil and twist the point in the middle of that dimple, pushing it into the ball. It make a perfect little black dot that won't wash off or come out. Perfect make to always be able to identify my ball and it looks unmarked. Worked perfect for me a long time now. Hope this helps
  43. Wouldn’t that be considered as an alteration and therefore be illegal?
  44. With two different coloured Sharpies I mark a dot in one colour, surrounded by a circle of another colour, six times so that I know that it is my ball no matter which 'side' is showing.

    John H

  45. I use a red sharpie and put a single red dot over the L in Titleist, if I end up playing with someone who uses a similar mark, I will use a single "Carolina Blue" mark over the L. The light blue mark is not quite as easy to see as the red but is very identifiable. It is hard to believe that a lot of golfers do not mark their ball at all. Thank you for making Titleist balls so well made and consistent.
