I believe that there are definite differences in the characteristics of each ball. While the distance may be somehow similar, there is also a matter of how the ball feels and reacts. I personally feel that for me the NXT Tour is a better ball and have used it in colder weather in PA when the Pro V's don't react so well. I never really had good experiences with the DTs as I would rather sacrifice a little distance for the feel around the greens. Steve

I think there is a time for each ball. I live in PA also and usually ues the DT for cold spring and fall days. When it starts to warm up I switch to NXT tour for more distance and feel. When it get hot I switch again to PRO Vx for more spin on harder greens. Overall I prefer the NXT tour for most of my rounds. Gary

In general, the NXT Tour will be longer. However, your results may vary. Launch angle and descent angle will affect both in the air and on the ground roll distances. How they feel and respond around the greens will also vary. The DT is being released on October 1, 2015 as the DT Trusoft. You may want to compare the NXT Tour with the new version in 2 weeks. The Trusoft will have a softer feel/compression than the current version.

i've game the nxt and like them a lot, dt i haven't really played a round on them, but i have found some before and would hit them.

can't say too much about them, i would like to play around with a sleeve to see how i feel about them.

I am from North Carolina so I am usually playing in very warm and sometimes humid conditions and have used both balls.

I am a big fan of the DT Solo off of the Tee as it flies very well and I feel is a straighter shot that what I've experienced from the NXT tour.  With that being said, I see myself overhitting the DT solos when I get closer to the green more than the NXT.  If you are willing to lose some accuracy off the tee and gain some near the whole then NXT is probably the ball for you.  If you are looking for straight distance and accuracy off the tee, then I prefer the DT solo

One of the best women players in my home state games the DT Solo - she claims it has less spin...and it helps her keep the ball in front of her....when I inquired about that statement....she said she wants her drive in the fairway and the approach on or near the green....then trust her short game.

My dad who is 72 games the DT Solo and he would probably beat most golfers on this forum!  I like the NXT tour or the Prov1X - they deliver for me....
