Has anyone else's noticed a lower bal flight of the irons with the newist pro v 1x Balls?

I was one of the lucky ones that got a sleeve of "Test" balls from Titleistaabout this time two years ago. The first thing I noticed was the lower ball flight off all iron shots. I have been playing the new Pro v1x all season and have seen this same lower flight trajectory. I still hit the ball high at the range but not on the course.

    Just curious.

could it be the lie of the ball, or you could of been playing it in the back of your stance without you knowing it? i played the

ProV1x the other day and mine  didn't stay low at all. when they bring out new balls i'l take the current ProV1 and play the new

one right beside it. to compare the ball flight on the same hit and lie.

  3. Personally I don't really see a different in ball flight in irons, but with my driver I like how the prov1x provides the lower ball flight. The only other difference I notice is less spin. Hit em' straight!!

When I was comparing both the ProV1 and ProV1x, I did my test with a driver (915D3stiff) during a warm day about 90*, with little or no wind. The ProV1 launches slightly lower, and the ProV1x were slightly higher time and time again with a stock shot. The #1 and #2 holes where I play are down hill and up hill, respectively. I remember favoring the ProV1 right away on the #1 down hill hole. I also liked that the ProV1 didn't climb up too much in the air on the up hill hole but ran the fairway a little more. Todd, see if you can get another chance to try a sleeve of each with the driver and maintain a certain or a single strength you put on the ball to see the result without other influences. ...nevertheless, I liked that you are able to keep the ball low with your irons... sounds like you are striking it well and good!

I've experienced the opposite. I notice a slightly higher flight with the X versus the non-X.
  6. Yes, I noticed with the new X a lower ball flight, which was good for me. Kept the ball lower in the wind.
