  1. My Club Pro tossed me a sleeve of Titleist "Test" balls. They come in a plain white sleeve and on the side of the ball with the alignment arrow - instead of marking it as "Pro V-1" or "NXT Tour" - it simply says: "TEST." Any idea what kind of ball this is - or is it a new version of one of the Titleist brands? Just curious before I go out and try them.

It depends on when your club pro got them. I got some last year and I think it was the ProV1X. I got these before they released the new ones. Also the number was red which indicates a ProV1x and just the feel of it felt like a ProV1x when comparing their 2013 model.

I also know they sent out test balls for like the NXT, DT-SOLO, etc.
  3. What do i have to do to get myself a sleeve?

One reason they don't tell you which ball you're hitting is to keep one from making a preconceived notion of how the ball should react. True blind test which is really cool that the average golfer helps with R&D. Helps you keep an open mind if you don't know what your hitting. Enjoy

It's best that you don't know because it will influence your judgement.

I received two (2) sleeves of Titleist Text golf balls, yesterday.

Received my two sleeves couple of days ago. One ball marked with a square; the other with a triangle. Now I just need it to warm up and stop raining.

Many times, they will send two VERSIONS of a new ball, looking for feedback on which version golfers prefer, rather than NXT Tour S vs NXT Tour or ProV1x vs ProV1.

It is a prototype ball that is usually sent directly to TT members for them to use and provide feedback about the ball to Titleist. Sometimes they will send two sleeves of different balls to compare against each other and comment on.

How do I get back on the testing list? Do they just cycle through Team Titleist membership? Thanks, Tim

I have received test balls in the past..... I would not judge the balls by their appearance. I Think they may send different balls out that look like what you normally play to not distract you.... best thing to do is play them and give an honest feedback. mine looked like proV1's but i would guess they were prov1x or even Nxt's they were great
  13. I received a sleeve of golf balls in Jan 2016, due to the winter conditions, I didn't play the balls until recently. the ball markings would be lead one to think they are velocity ball. The balls were marked with a orange 1 and marked test. I realize that titleist had sent me a email a couple weeks after receiving the balls. I like the feel of the balls---I am wondering if the balls are velocity or what? I would like the R & D dept to contact me . Thanks
  14. I play the AVX because it suits my game! Good ball
