  1. I recently joined a golf club in my new home state of PA! My third round of the year was on Friday and for the first time ever I made 4 consecutive birdies! I pulled a 6 foot putt for eagle because the adrenaline was pumping!

However, I pulled this off with a Prov1 and not my gamer ball the ProV1x! I don't know if the course was a little softer and more receptive than before/my overall game was starting to come back but I really liked the way the ball was working on the green from about 120 yards and in w/the ProV1.

I am going to do some further testing between the two but if spin off the driver isn't significant/detrimental I may be switching to the ProV1. Looking forward to testing these out side by side. Glad I didn't put in the custom order for the ProV1x's before my round like I had planned!

Funny how that kind of thing works, isn't it? Good luck with your testing
  3. Congrats! Personally, I think it is a lot better to hit a ball that gives you the best comfort and feel around the green; short game is the most important part of the game. As long as you have a solid swing and feel like you can hit the ball consistently, I'd definitely keep with the ProV1 - seems like it's working for you!

Agreed. I had played the Pro V1 since it was released and then tried the new Pro V1 x last year. Very similar play and the newer version is as soft as the 2013 Pro V1. What I was missing was that little bit of extra spin with my long and mid irons, which is why I am switching back to the Pro V1. A yard or two off of the tee means very little in my book for the tradeoff in feel and spin.

    Welcome to PA!

You'll have to come out to our TT Invitational this summer in Hershey!
  6. When does this tournament take place? I am in Northeast Ohio but would't mind making the trip to play with other members of TT!!
