After playing Chrome soft I switched to the Pro V1. Did not have one ball roll off the green every ball checked up on the green. No complaints from distance off the driver. Will be hard to ever use anything else ever again.

  2. Glad to hear it is working well...it seems many players like the Chrome Soft however the ProV1 plays much more consistent and offers more feel IMHO.

In my quest for an amber ball "just like the Pro-V lines", I tried the changed version of the ball that changed the ball. It lasted one hole. Didn't fly as well and definitely did not come off the face well on putting. First Tee was the beneficiary. It kept hopping off the face compared to a Pro-V1x that came off smooth on the same surface. Nothing scores better, but it does affect my pace of play when I meander the course looking for a white ball I can't see where it lands.
  4. All tour urethane covers play the same to me and the distance is all about the same. The chromesofts are just softer. The prov1x however with the high compression feels like a tank coming off the driver face

Now compair the ProV1x to the ProV1 with x is a little firmer and flies longer in my option with the same control around the greens.

I've tried the chrome soft and prefer the prov1. Guess its just a matter of feel to the user.

I played a chrome soft yesterday. That ball is very, very soft around the green. That was the only positive.

My ProV1xs made it back into my round by the 12th hole...much better ball flight, control, and putting.

No doubt the ProV1 is the superior golf ball.

Im glad i saw your post - i also have been playing the new chrome soft & have experienced the same problem. the chrome is long but releases way to much. I am switching back to the pro v1.
