well the loyalty program ended and I made my order in the final moments. The late winter here didn't give me any time to trial the two new balls so I went with the Pro v1x again. I've read so many threads of people switching from the X to the pro v this year that I am kinda hoping the X didn't change all that much.

Anyone else sweat out the final moments trying to decide? Did I make the right choice or are most of ya's moving from the X to the V?

I did have a chance to compare both last fall. I can't say one was longer, but I felt the V was much longer than the prior V. I do like the softer feel, have now played 2 rounds in temps over 50 and am happy with the switch. My biggest disappoint so far? I went over 3 of 4 par 3 greens. Need to dial in the lengths, yet. I still have a dozen prior-Xs to use up but I can use them on casual rounds w/o damage.

I did get to try both balls and I am was a loyal X player who converted to the V ball. The flight and spin rate best suits me, not to mention I personally believe this is the best wind ball Titleist has ever made. If you were a X before you will believer in the new V. Hardest part for me is missing the red number!
  4. The 2017 X is a bit longer than the previous version. Other than that, it seems similar. For me, the high launch and spin into the greens work well. I don't think you'll be disappointed. The V is longer for sure, about the same distance as the X now. But it does launch lower with more roll out, up to the point where the X finishes out. And it comes in lower into the green.

    Enjoy!

Sounds like overall they did the most work on the new V.
I like the high flight of the X, the harder feel and yes I too like the red number.
Overall I think I am glad I stuck with it, maybe i will grab a sleeve of the V just for the sake of testing it out but these balls will be around for the next 2 years so I have time! ....thanks everyone for your input!

As a long time ProV1x player I was convinced to change to the ProV1 this year. A bit longer, great ball flight trajectory and feel. Got my Loyalty Order in just in time as well.
