I see you and couple others have a 46-48 volkey weges what is the reasoning for not going for the PW in the set of irons .
Lou GMy SQ 5H and 7H are go to "can't miss clubs". I have my persimmon 10W and 34H, and Eye 2 5-7 irons, in reserve but have better distance control with the SQs.

Lou Gtyson wI see you and couple others have a 46-48 volkey weges what is the reasoning for not going for the PW in the set of irons . I personally plan on sticking with the AP1 PW vs buying a 46 Vokey. I tried it and the 48 and didn't like either. I love the 50-08 to death though. I've always used a set PW and that has worked for my purposes.

Today's bag: Burner 2007 HT draw driver-5W-7W Rescue 2009 4H (I finally caved in and got a 22H) Sumo SQ2 5H and 7H AP1 7,9,P Vokey SM3 50-08 (51), 54-11 (55), 58-04, 62-07 White Hot 7H putter. Would love to get the 8 iron from ebay but, quite frankly, $79 + $10 sh for a used club is too much. In the meantime I have an 8 iron distance shot with both the 7H and 7 iron. I'm getting the same distance out of the AP1 7 iron vs the Eye 2 6 iron I used to have.
