Hello Cathi or Mike, I have a good friend who plays left handed and is wondering if he could get a left handed Scotty Cameron Newport 2.6 Select Putter with 15 gram weights(heavy) in it???? He is also interested in possibly getting a tour fitting for a change from what he's playing now! Since I had my fitting back in January of 2010, I have purchased all of the clubs that I was spec'd for!      I love my Titleist's!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately the new Scotty Cameron Select models are only made in RH at this time.  Still amazes me the non-existant selection for those of you who hit from the wrong side of the ball.

The last time I watched Bubba from behind looking down the fairway, he IS on the right side of the ball, the other golfers are the backwards ones.  Still doesn't change the sinister options available for those on the right side of the ball.  Titleist supplies all but the 7.5 degree drivers for the other clubs in the bag for both sides, but I'm half-tempted to move over to the other side to putt.

    Hi Barry,

Thanks for the post and happy to hear all of the new clubs are working out for you. In terms of the Cameron Select Newport 2.6 model, that is only available as a right-handed option.

To clarify Ryan's comment above, there are left-handed options available in the new Cameron Select, Cameron Select GoLo, Cameron Select Mid & Long, and Cameron California models.

Here are the current models available as left-handed options:

    Cameron Select

    • Newport 2

    Cameron Select GoLo

    • GoLo

    Cameron Select Mid & Long

    • GoLo Mid

    • Big Sur Long

    Cameron California

    • DelMar

    • Monterey

Let me know if you have any other questions and I hope this helps. Thanks.

  5. HI Mike,

Any news on if or when the 2.6 will be available in left handed?

    Thanks

    Robert

  6. Mike. Are Titleist any closer to making a Scotty Cameron Newport 2.6 Select Putter for left handed players?

it feels superb and I'm sure if they were made they would be in demand.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi John,

At this point, I don't believe there are any plans to make the Newport 2.6 Select available as a left handed option. We'll certainly keep you posted if that should change. Thanks.

As a lefty I can argue that I am on the right side of the ball. But either way I have never understood why all clubs aren't offered in LH and RH. The 913H in 15 degree RH only. Why? The scotty 2.6 RH only. Why? Are we really such a rare breed that offering in LH would dip into profits because of less demand? It just baffles me and is quite frustrating. One day I will open a golf course where all the teaching pros are LH so us leftys don't have to  think backwards when we hear right and left hand. Sorry a little off topic.

Other than our 7.5 driver head, all other heads are offered in both RH and LH.  We don't have a RH 913H head.

On the putters, that is a Scotty Cameron call.  If lefties continue to write to Scotty and request a straight in LH putter, it may eventually come to be.

Truly difficult to find LH clubs in most retail stores. And love having to reverse everything I read or hear. Game hard enough without having to think, right foot, no that would be my left foot and so on! Your draw is my fade!!!

I do the same thing when I am reading anything on golf.  It's amazing how many other sports have lefties in them but golf we are the outcasts.

Too bad there aren't at least a couple more LH putter options.  There are really only 2 full line OEM makers of LH clubs, and even those never have a good selection off the rack at the box stores.  ...Bubba has contracts with both.  I've done a fair amount of trial and error with used clubs and the few in stock, and come to the conclusion getting fit the first time is eventually cheaper.

In my case, 2 of my best clubs (5H/7W) are only available from these 2 OEMs.  Circles back to why fitting ended up being cheaper... Only one of these OEMs has a face balanced LH putter.  8-(

Titleist has served me well with what the standard options are for fitting, and not just the stock shaft in 3 flexes.  I'm cool with what I have.

    Long time Cameron Lefty here.

The stock options are limited but more putters are being offered in LH than 5 years ago.

There are also some great custom options for lefty's

Head on over to the Cameron Collector  http://www.cameroncollector.com/

Lots of good discussion on Cameron Putters and our very own lefty section
