Hi I just got a set for some lightly used  Passing Point PP-9003 and they are one degree stronger than my AP1 710s. I'm still waiting for delivery but I have a 24 910H with a KBS hybrid shaft -1/2". Should I replace this for a 21* ? I play KBS tours in my AP1s and will do the same for my PP-9003's.

I can also weaken the irons one degree as well and that could solve it

    Thanks for your help.

Get used to them, then set the 24H to 23.25, then check your 7/6/5/4H gaps.  What do you use after the 24?  a 5W?  I wouldn't change a thing just for the standard degree spacing.

I picked up a non-Titleist 27 degree hybrid (I sometimes have to fight with my 5I) and though it is easier to hit than the 5I, it doesn't net me as many yards as a 29 degree 6I AP1.  Part of it is the ball doesn't roll as much.  My 24 degree 910H does easily outdistance my 26 degree 5I.  So I have to decide to if I need the stop and drop or more distance from the mid irons.  Working with your clubs, decide how the distance gaps and workability factor into a choice.

If I were you I would wait and see how you hit your 5 iron.  If your hitting it well, I would defiantly trade it for a 21* then.  By chance are you a lefty? Looking for a 24* 910.

LOL...  I've seen 2 - 24 degrees on E-Bay - Global Golf - 3 Balls in the last 6 months, bought one.  Never have seen a 27 LH (take that back - I did see one with an L-shaft/std. women's length).

21 would work.  So would weakening the irons.  Taking the 24H and lowering the loft to 23.75 would induce a fade because the clubface would be 1.5* open (assuming you use the same lie angle).

Also keep in mind that a hybrid is going to get 5-10 yards more than the equivalent iron

Be curious if the used forged irons work better than the cast AP1s.  Definitely sexier, but won't be as forgiving.  The 9/PW may be up to 2 degrees stronger than the AP1 PW, so this may impact wedge gapping.as well.  Will need to check distance gaps at both ends of the set.

Oops - 23.25.  IRT to other vendors' 26H (had an SQ2) - I could hit it consistently but the 910H 27 gets 5 more yards (at the 27.75 loft C3 setting).
