  1. I am an 11HDCP and am about to purchase a set of MB's. Wish me luck.....anyway, are the DG TI shafts much different from the other DG shafts? The golf shop where I will be fitted is not a premium fitter and only have the fitting cart which limits the shaft selection......

    Hi Tim,

Im at the same handicap as you, and I play with the 712 MB, beautifully golf clubs once you get in to them. Your swing speed is important for what kind of shaft actually fits for you. So more likely if you have a very fast swing you should go for more stiff but if you have a slower swing regular will be more appropriate I believe. But in the end of the day that's more what you feel confident with, good luck with your new clubs.

what shafts do you play and did you compare against the CB's or AP2's before you bought the MB's?  I am from the school of thought that says "you have a ball and a club with a flat face. If you hit it right, you can hit any club" my feeling is the game improvement irons are more of a marketing tool rather than a hardcore help to your golf game.

my MB fitting is May 11th....yee haw...cant wait

Just tried all four irons offered by titleist at the local golf galaxy. For me, the AP1's performed the best with the DG S300. I figure, why not error on the side of forgiveness, when it comes to choosing your set. After all, it's a big purchase! Super happy with them. They are my 2nd set of AP1's and I was very happy with which the speed of my special order was delivered. About 7 business days! AMAZING! Love My Titleist!

hey Hans...what shafts are you playing? I found a 115 g shaft is just right for me....was hoping the tour issue shafts came in that weight.....looks like project x for me!!!

    Tim,

Really sorry for this late response, I'm playing with the KBS C-Taper and they works beauty full for me, well they was fitted with dynamic gold s200 but I never liked this shafts.

    all the best Tim

The Tour Issue DGs will be heavier.  If you have a fast tempo, really high swing speed, and if you have a really high trajectory with Dynamic Gold, a heavier shaft might be a good idea.  The heavier shaft will probably knock down your trajectory a little and slow your swing down.

Sorry to have to correct you Ben. TI shafts are not heavier. also they are not stiffer. if you go to the true temper sight they will tell you the only difference is the quality control measures are more strict and they ensure the weight of each shaft is more accurate. has nothing to do with actual weight. i own two sets of MB's one with standard x100's and one with TI x100's there is no difference.

    cheers greens and fairways

Simba...I am...how do you say?...ah yes...an idiot :)  No need to apologize for correcting me when I'm dead wrong.

    Take care,
    Ben
