The last time I had Vokeys were the original 200 series in 54.10 and 60.12. The 54* was great from bunkers or fairway and the 60* was actually really good from tight lies in spite of the high bounce because of the narrow sole and trailing edge relief.

Looking at the SM4's, I assume the 54.11 is the closest to my old 54.10, but what about the 60* wedges? The 60.10 M grind looks like it might reduce the effective bounce to less than the 60.07 S grind.

Hey Q, I  was wondering the same thing about the M-grind on the 54-11 and the 60-10. My current wedge set up is 45*pw, 52-08, 56-14, and 60-08. I am thinking about getting a 50-08, 54-11 and bending it a degree weak to 55.12 to give me a little more bounce, and 60-10 in the Vokey SM4's. I am worrying about the same thing as you with the M-grind reducing the bounce because I am more of a digger type player and I normally play in wet conditions. Good Luck!

    Connor,

    I was using SM c-c 50-08 and 54-11 (bent to 55), and SM2 60-07 and 64-07 in 2011 (I had the SM2s since 2009).  That setup worked.

What I can say about the M grind 54-11 and 60-10 is they work great (I have them 1* strong to simplify the basic wedge setup).   I just re-added the SM4 64-07.

I have the 54-11 and 60-10 and love 'em.  The 54 is a recent acquisition and actually works better in sand vs the SM c-c 54-14.  I also have been using the 60-10 for greenside bunker shots in soft sand and a lot of tight pin position pitch shots between 25-40 yards.
