712U question...

I called the local national chain store to see if i can try 712U and their answer was "huh? what's 712U?"

Can someone tell me where i can try 712U near 91739?

Also, 712U 3 iron has 21 degree loft.  Would this be equivalent to hybrid 21 degree in terms of distance?

The only place local to you would probably be Red Hill Country club. Most golf retailers (from what I have been told) won't have them on the shelf to test out. The only other option you have is to head to the Titleist Fitting Center in Carlsbad might be an option. I myself live near you and have been looking myself for a place to hit it.

The 712u is a new product, and local golf stores will not know anything about this club because it is a limited amount made product.  The 712u is custom ordered only.  Most golf stores  will not have them in stock.

As to your question about the 21 degree loft clubs, the answer is yes.   It would be about the same distance from a 3 iron and a 21 degree hybrid club.. When you say distance in terms of loft, in theory they will go the same.   With Hybrid golf clubs hat have graphite shaft they tend to be more forgiving and lighter weight in the club.   I would say  that the Hybrid will go farther than the Iron, only because you have more flex and lighter golf shaft than a steel 3 iron club.

I may be mistaken but im pretty sure the 712U is a special order only product so it may be pretty hard to find one to try because I don't think they will be on the shelf at your local retail store.

The 712u is a custom only order and will match the lofts of the MB 2, 3 and 4 irons.  You can get fit for the 712u at Advanced FittingWorks Centers or our Tech reps will also have them built with S300's at Fitting days.  Here is the link for both:  http://www.titleist.com/find-a-golf-shop/#fitters
