  1. Hi,

If one were to re-grip a putter with a SuperStroke, not sure which size yet, would it be necessary to add weight to the putter head to maintain ideal balance?  Is there a general ratio of grip weight to putter head weight I'd need to follow?  Not sure which SuperStroke size I'm interested in cause they'd all be something new to me... but just wanted to get the info incase I purchase one, and end up loosing feel for the putter head.

    Thanks

I used a Super Stroke 2.0 now changed to Super Stroke Fatso 5.0 my buddies laughed look at that fat grip not anymore putts dropping. I was you go to local golf store and try a couple grips out to see which one you like. I like the fatso I've got a straight back and Thursday stroke.

Winn has a couple of jumbo putter grips too...take a look at those too. I love mine and it took my right hand out of the picture! I know nothing about the details and specs but do know my kid plays the "lite" version and I play the heavier one and I think the heavy one feels uniform in my hands (grip to putter head all the way down) but my kids feels head heavy if you catch my drift...

I cant answer any questions on adding weight to the head but I will say this..   The fat grip improved my putting greatly.  Now that may not be the same case for you, but I highly suggest trying it.  Adding some weight to the head would probably be a good idea though.  That grip does make it feel quite lighter, but you need to play around with different setups and see what works best for you.

I put a mid sized Winn on my last putter, and ordered my Scotty Cameron with one as well. I like the standard putter grip shape, but the extra width in the mid size. It took the float out of my hands, and my putting greatly improved. The reason I didn't choose a SuperStroke is I didn't like the shape or feel. It felt like a vinyl wrapped pool noodle to me. Try a couple out at your local shop and see what you prefer.

I put a 3.0 on my S/C and I'm really happy with it. I was skeptical at first, but I liked how it took my hands completely out of the stroke. Highly recommend it!!

SuperStroke makes some lightweight versions that don't weigh any more than a standard grip.  I have the 3.0 on mine and there is no change in feel pertaining to head weight.
