The shafts of my Titleist AP2 irons are pitting and rusting. I have not left the clubs outside in the rain, and if it rained while we were playing I always dried them off. Is this a common defect in these Rifle Project X flighted shafts?

I have never seen or heard of that. I played Project X for years. I would buy some Naval Jelly from your local hardware store. Put some of that on a rag or towel and wipe the rust off.

We have not really heard of the PX shafts rusting. Please take your clubs to your local pro shop and have them set up a Warranty inspection for you.
