I just placed an order for a left handed 913 D2 8.5 with a Motore Speeder 6.2 Tour Spec. Didn't realize that the shaft was an exotic and not stocked by Titleist. I was quoted 4 to 6 weeks for delivery... Is this accurate/realistic time frame or can I expect it earlier?

I was fitted for this setup and was hoping to have it before my club championship in mid September.

    Any information would be helpful.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

  2. Fujikura is in San Marcos... Titleist is in Carlsbad... how/why would you be quoted that long?  I would recommend purchasing a standard 913D2 with the Diamana a-hina.... and then driving to Fujikura and purchasing the Motore Tour Spec with the sure fit installed.  You'll pay the same... but have two shafts to try out.  That is assuming you're in San Diego, or So-Cal.  If not, it's probably still faster to purchase an OTR 913D2 with a similar shaft, and then order the Motore Tour Spec from someone who has in in stock.  Good luck.

Paul, thanks for the advice. Being left handed I'm used to waiting for orders but I thought that this was longer than normal. I'm in North FL and not close to either Fujikura or Titleist. Cathi, contacted me though and maybe she can give a better timeframe on the order. Otherwise, I might consider sourcing the shaft separately so I can have it time....

Ryan, The only flaw in the plan is that you can't get the shaft with the hosel adapter installed anywhere but from Titleist. The lead times quoted are pretty accurate, but sometimes they do get shafts faster than the original estimate. A lot of it has to do with the stock at the shaft manufacturer. I also doubt that any Titleist retailer will have this shaft in stock....

Fujikura does not have shafts with the surefit tip installed as we don't sell or distribute those tips.

Thanks for the information everyone and I guess I will just have to wait and see if it arrives sooner than later...

  7. Oh, wow my bad.  I didn't realize 913 tips were not distributed... that's too bad.

Ryan, stay patient brother... it will come.
