Loose object inside the head 913F 15 degrees

Hi
I have a Titleist 913F 15 degrees with a loose object inside the head. Does anyone have experience with this and know what has happened?
The parties suddenly and can play several rounds before the sound comes back ...
Information received with thanks.

It might just be some loose epoxy.

Not quite sure what is in there, but can you remove the bezel weight and shake it out?  If not, please take your fairway to your local pro shop and have them set up a Warranty inspection and repair.

Hi Cathi
I have been in contact with my local pro shop and they said that since I bought the 913F in England and not locally in Norway is no guarantee.
Is this true, or the warranty regardless of where the stick is purchased?

Hi Frode,  I am checking with our Norway office as well as GB to see how they handle issues such as yours.  As some countries do have different models specific to the country, we would normally have Warranty issues handled in the country of purchase.

Hi Frode,  I have spoken with both UK Acushnet and our office in Norway.  As long as the club is authentic, there should be no problem handling a Warranty issue in Norway even though it was purchased in England.
Hi
Tanks alot for your help

I've got the same problem, in exactly the same club.  It's a minor rattle and I have tried to remove the weight in a effort to shake it out.  I was hitting it on the range yesterday when the I showed it to the guy next to me.  I hit a couple more shots and he asked "if I put a rattle in mine, can I hit it like that?"  I'm so in love with the club, there is no way I would do anything that might change the performance or feel.  At this point, I don't care if it plays a tune, as long as I keep hitting it the way I am.  Love my 913's, long and straight with that boring flight that pierces the wind.

Steve; This may not be your problem at all, but easy to check. Have you checked to be sure that the head on your 913 is tight. It may feel tight by hand, but to be sure, take your wrench, and tighten the head anyway. You can't over tighten it as long as you use your Titleist wrench, so double check to be sure that the wrench "Clicks" when you tighten it. There is a lot of stress on that one little screw when you hit the ball and I have heard of them working loose over time. Hope this helps.

Yes, I've checked the head tightness, definitely not the head itself, but something (very, very small) banging around inside.  Honestly, it is not a real issue for me, I could not be more in love with the club.  I checked the tightness of the head and sole weight but I'm afraid of monkeying around with it more for fear of losing the feel of the club.

I play with the entire set of 913's, have a 8.5 913 D2, 15 and 19 degree 913F, and alternate between a 21 and 24 degree 913H (depending on the course).  I'm back to golf after a 20 year layoff and purchased these about 4 months ago.  I've gained about 20 yards off the tee thanks to the new technology and hope to be back to a 2 handicap again someday soon.  Shot an 78 yesterday, best since returning back to the course. I'm currently playing with a set of x forged irons, but want to upgrade to the 714's as long as I can get them in the KBS tour shafts.  Are these available as an option in the AP2 714's?  I've played with lots of TT shafted irons, but none of them feel as nice as the KBS shafts I'm using now...

Steve

Thanks for the reply Norris..

There should not be a rattle in your head.  If it is not an issue and you don't want to send it in to be fixed, that's okay because it is not affecting your playability, but we would recommend that you have your shop set up a Warranty inspection and repair to address the rattling.

Yes, you can order any iron model with KBS Tour shafts.  They do swingweight a little lighter when built, so if a heavier swingweight is important, please specify the swingweight on your order.

Cathi,

I hit both par 5's on the back nine this morning with that 3 wood (913F 15 deg), both shots from +225 yards.  I might get it fixed at some point, but if I keep getting this kind of performance out of my 913's I'm gonna figure out how to get them all to rattle...  Really, these are great woods....  Thanks for the reply.

By the way, the swingweight is not very important to me, as I back weight my irons.  It's something I experimented with many years ago when I first started playing and have done it ever since.  Thanks again for the reply, you guys (and gals) are great.  I'm hoping our pro shop gets a demo of the 714's so I can try them out and switch over from the Callys' I'm playing now (2013 x forged irons)..
