I currently play the 710's with Project x 5.5 flighted shafts. Will this shaft be available in the 714 lineup? If not, what alternative would you recommend?

True Temper (which purchased Royal Precision in 2006), has decided to discontinue the standard weight PX flighted shafts and they will not be available for the 714 irons. There are various shaft in the same weight, launch and spin category- the difference is whether you go with something like the standard PX shaft or the Pxi for a more similar ball flight - but, neither are flighted or you go with a DYG shaft which does have a variable kick point, but is a constant weight shaft so the feel is different. We would recommend seeing a good local fitter who can go over all your shaft options with you and help you select the best shaft for you.

What about new PX95 shaft? It says flighted. Would this shaft or PXi be more similar to PX 5.5 flightred?
Thanks
The PX 95 are flighted shafts, but lighter than the old PX flighted. They are still undergoing testing, but, in the 5.5 flex, they are 101 grams and probably a higher ball flight (than the original or the original flighted) while the original PX flighted were closer to 120 grams. An Advanced Fitter would have the PX, and the PXi shaft available for fitting.

Cathi, please tell me what you mean by a flighted shaft? I probably should know, but I don't. Thanks.

Why do they still show the flighted shaft as an option on their website, also other manufacturers are still offering their clubs with the flighted options? I am having a real issue with ordering the 714 and not being able to have a shaft that I have depended on for several years.
If I am reading your reply correctly, you are saying there is a weighting issue. Is this something that could change over the year?

Just pull your old shafts and put in the 714's. Some tour pros that like their shafts keep them and change in the new sets for years.

As someone else mentioned, you can order a set of 714 AP2s and get your old shafts installed in them, after you get them, but this might mess up the warranty, so you would need to check on that.
But again, the project X flighted shafts have a higher ball flight then the regular project X shafts. You asked about the PX95, and this would be about 20-30 grams lighter then the regular project X shafts and maybe about 20 grams (or so) lighter than the Flighted shafts. That's a big difference, so you would need to test the club head with that shaft to see if you like the combo.
What about the flighted shafts do you like? If you are looking for the same ball flight, I would suggest the PXi shafts, they are a little bit lighter maybe in the 110g weight, and have a little higher ball flight than the regular Project X shafts. Titleist is still testing the KBS C-Taper lite shafts. They are in the same weight and ball flight as the PXi shafts, but have a different look to them.
There are so many new shafts out there since the Project X Flighted shafts came out, I would go out to a fitter and test out some new shafts. You might be surprised with what's out there and I'm sure you'll leave with a new shaft for the irons you like.
Let us know what you end up getting.
