From what I've read at the Cameron website, this putter has my interest. I had tried a Daddy Long Legs a few months ago, but with our club championship a month away, I decided to stick with my Cali Fastback. With winter is approaching, now may be the time to look at a putter change. And of course, I'm looking for another Scotty!
The Daddy Long Legs is long gone, but I've been thinking about it lately, debating finding another and really wishing that SC had something similar. What I liked about the DLL was the weighting and how it seemed to just stay on line back and through the stroke (I particularly struggle with my takeaway). What I didn't like about the DLL was the insert and the plastic sole.
The Scotty Cameron Dual Balanced Futura X design appears to offer the same benefits, and I'm excited to try one out. With its' 38 inch length, is it intended that you should choke down on the grip a few inches?
And is there any word on the price and when it will be available?
I still put my 2003 Futura in the bag once in a while, but I'd really like to see a Futura X in there for the 2014 season.
