From what I've read at the Cameron website, this putter has my interest.  I had tried a Daddy Long Legs a few months ago, but with our club championship a month away, I decided to stick with my Cali Fastback.  With winter is approaching, now may be the time to look at a putter change.  And of course, I'm looking for another Scotty!

The Daddy Long Legs is long gone, but I've been thinking about it lately, debating finding another and really wishing that SC had something similar.  What I liked about the DLL was the weighting and how it seemed to just stay on line back and through the stroke (I particularly struggle with my takeaway).  What I didn't like about the DLL was the insert and the plastic sole.

The Scotty Cameron Dual Balanced Futura X design appears to offer the same benefits, and I'm excited to try one out.  With its' 38 inch length, is it intended that you should choke down on the grip a few inches?

And is there any word on the price and when it will be available?

I still put my 2003 Futura in the bag once in a while, but I'd really like to see a Futura X in there for the 2014 season.

Thanks - mine was ordered today (standard specs), hope to get a few rounds in with it before winter closes us down.  Any idea of the lead times to CT?

We have them in stock so it should ship in 1-2 days.  The ground shipping time from Carlsbad, CA to CT is about 5 days so you should see it early next week.:)

I spent some time on the practice green on Saturday with the Futura X and it feels really good.  I have never played with a long putter or an anchored putter as they did not feel right.  Choking down on the wider grip with this putter and having the counter balance at the top of the grip really seemed to result in a smooth stroke.  The stroke was the same as a standard putter but seemed much more balanced, especially  in the take away.

I like what you're saying about the take away - I really need to make that more steady

I'm a Newport II guy, but I like to check out new Cameron putters when they hit the market just to checkout new technology and head shapes. I rolled about 100 balls with Scotty's new Dual Balanced Futura X this week. I think this is a fantastic putter. It's very easy to make a smooth consistent stroke and the feel is great. I was really surprised how much I liked it and how many 10 footers I poured in with it. This will be a great alternative for the guys that like to anchor. I look forward to seeing other dual balance models by Scotty Cameron in the future.

Good job on this one Scotty and Titleist!

I tinkered with one last Friday at the course.  The counter balance model was just not as comfortable as the standard model for me.  Plus I do not like the long grip.

I was looking at the DLL 38 inch and Futura-X (I get to try all the putters right-handed to get a general idea of feel) and then my local box store got a 34 inch LH Futura-X in stock.  It was love at first stroke.  I never felt like I knew where to grip the 38.  I've only had it on course for a couple of rounds but I'm now fearless less than 6 feet and even lags go where I think I aimed - not that it was the correct line...

Don't think I even need to consider a large diameter grip for the putter.

My Dual Balanced Futura X arrived today and I played 15 holes.  It's November, 34* out and the greens were pretty bumpy.  But I somehow managed 5 birdies, which I don't think I accomplished all season!

I've switched to a left hand low grip with this putter, and the way the head stays on line back and through the ball is really something to behold.  I've got some distance control issues to overcome, as I'm leaving most of my long putts short.  But inside 10 feet today, this putter was point and shoot.

    AWESOME!
