Me and my dad are both looking to order custom clubs. we know are specs from seeing Titleist rep/fitter yesterday. We are both looking at the new AP2 4-PW, 913 driver, 913 woods/hybrids and new vokey wedges as well. Where are you guys finding the best deals for custom clubs?? thanks

I have found that my club pro always gives me a great price and the after sale service is outstanding.

One thing you can be sure of - any price too good to be true with a web site will likely be counterfeit.  You can check this site, others have talked about it.  It is connected to Highland Golf Course in Oregon.

    http://www.discountdansgolf.com/about-us.aspx,

However, you may want to check with local pro shops and large retailers.  Local pro shops will likely offer a price close to an internet site, and if you need warranty work, ....it's complicated with a dealer 2000 miles away.  The primary difference will likely be the difference between shipping and sales tax if you don't declare out of state purchases.

I have only ever worked a deal at a large dealer on a fitting charge for Titleist equipment.  Most exclude Titleist and png on their advertised sales/discount programs.

I actually was referred to them  earliertoday and contacted them. Great deals on what I was looking at. Is their site legit though?

Discount Dan's is legit -- check out the forums at golfwrx.com for feedback.  I custom-ordered an AP1 714 set from Discount Dan's in November, and the irons were shipped to me directly from Titleist (i.e. Titleist was the verified sender on the UPS label, etc.).

I am just not comfortable ordering clubs on line.  I like having the ability to take them back for adjustments and the 30day playability guarantee that most quality shops offer.  Additionally, our shop has a PGA certified teaching pro on staff and that is an added benefit and he is an excellent fitter.  I definitely want to hit a number of shafts and lies and lofts on each new club I try to ensure I have the proper fit.  Guess that this is a personal choice but with the cost of clubs today,  I say buyer beware and shop with folks you trust.  I purchase all my clubs from the same shop and in the community where I live.    Apparel, accessories and shoes are different.  I shop online.   Even with apparel I can get great prices at local shops and proshops, especially FJ products.  Yes, Titleist in the bag and FJ pretty much head to toe.....

i understand but if i had my clubs fitted and just ordered online the 30 day playability is not valid on custom ordered clubs and i need custom clubs i have a big swing and swing hard. 120+ mph and need custom shafts and lie changed. if you go get fitted and write down all your specs and order from a trusted shop online. discount dans took my order and i received directly from titleist's address in cali. Top notch stuff even though i got a damaged 913 but hey it happens i just cant wait to get it back!!! :)
