Can't help myself but wanting to share this with everyone.

In about 3 weeks give or take I will be putting new irons in my bag!

My first set of Titleist irons! A custom built Combo set of 714 CB 3-6 and MB 7- PW +.5" Project X 6 with white Tour Wrap grips.

Can't wait for the Vokey SM5's to complete the conversion to Titleist.

    Old set up:

VR Pro Driver, VR Pro Fairway, VR Split Cavity Back irons, VR Pro Wedges.

Switched the Driver and Fairways first to:

913 D3 with Tour Ad Di6, 913 F, loved them so much, convinced me to change the whole bag!

I always had a Scotty Cameron Putter, because well, there simply is not a better putter made!

Congrats on the new sticks! I recently put my own custom spit set in the bag as well. I went 4-6 714 AP2 and 7-P 714 CBs 1 degree flat with KBS tour stiff shafts.  I've had these clubs about 2 months now and absolutely love them, couldn't ask for a better set of irons. I made the switch from another manufacturer also and trust me you won't ever look back! Let us know how they perform when you get them in.

    Fairways and Greens

Thats a solid set up!  Congrats on the move, and I highly doubt you will ever look back.   And I completely agree that there are no better putters on the market than the scotty's.   Play Well!

  4. Grats on the new order!

Ordered the same setup myself 2 weeks ago :) 2-6 CB and 7-PW MB with +1" DG X100. Looking forward to the release of SM5. Will be ordering custom wedges though Wedgeworks.

    Christoffer Grats to you too!

Your set should be arriving soon if it has not already! I'm sure you'll love them!

Let me know your feelings on the DGX100 shafts. Have you ever hit the Project X? I had thought about going the DG X100, but have played Project X6 for about 3 years (moved on from DG S300) and really like the feel and the flight. Part of me did think that there is a reason why Titleist puts DG's in as the stock set up and if we are being honest, the DG's certainly are excellent shafts. I just dont know how the GD X100 compares in characteristics to the Project X6.

Thanks! I live in Sweden so it's a min. 3 week delivery on those babies :)

I've played the S300s for about 12 years now and i really like the flight of them. I hit the ball really high (even my 1 iron) so the lower trajectory of the DGs fit me well.

During my fitting i tried the X100s as well as the Project X 6.5/7.0. To me the shaft (PX) felt like a shaft version of a blade club. When not struck perfectly they felt "dead" and i did not get the response I am used to from the DGs.

My sweetspot hits with the MB + X100 coudln't be beaten from my point of view, so i went with those :)

The irons arrived this past Thursday. Obviously I was drooling all over them until I got to hit them. I wanted to go to the range and get a session in before putting them in play, but a friend called Friday and asked if I was interested in playing Saturday (today). Of course I was, and of course I easily made the decision to put my 714's in the bag. The range at the course he choose was closed, they didn't want to run the picker as the ground is still pretty damp. So first hole is a bit of a longish par 4. First swing of the day, pulled the driver a bit into the left rough, a little blocked by a tree but I have a shot. 167 to the pin, wind helping a little and left to right. 7 iron, aimed at left of the tree for a little cut, riding the wind. I was a bit nervous, first shot with the new MB's and it was out of the rough and I hade to shape it, but I had a good lie, and the helping wind. Deep breath pulled the trigger, pin high a little over cut but still 20' from the flag and on the green.

Love, Love, Love my new irons!
