  1. I purchased the new ap2 irons and love them. After a few weeks the paint has started to chip on the 9 iron and gap wedge. This obviously does not impact performance but should this be happening?  I invested a lot of money and it's frustrating to see this happen

Team Titleist-please help!  Sending my clubs in during peak season is not an option

    Sincerely

    Your biggest fan

    Matt

Hi Matt,  I am very sorry to hear of the paint chipping on your new AP2 irons.  If you don't have a week to be without your clubs, you can wait until the end of your season, and we will take care of it at that time for you.  When the season ends, please take your clubs to your local shop and have them set up a Warranty repair for you. Ask them for an expedited call tag to get this done as soon as possible.

  3. Hi Cathi,

i recently purchased a set of AP2 712's and am's seeing the same thing. The PW has lost all of the paintfill on the word Forged except the F and also the 7 in 712.  I am not so concerned about the paintfill just wondering if this is in fact normal?  Have you seen it happening? Should I be concerned at all or is the paintfill just one of those things that can chip in normal playing conditions and I should just enjoy my clubs.

    Thanks!

Hi Mike,  We haven't really heard of it happening to 712 irons -  when you have an opportunity to take them back to your pro shop, have them set up a warranty inspection and repair.

    Good afternoon Cathi:

Just last week I noticed the "o" in "forged" came out of my 712 AP2 6 iron.  My purchase date was April 29, 2013 - am I out of luck to get it fixed after the golf season?

    Thanks,

    Charlie

    Hi Charlie,

We will take care of it for you.  Please don't wait too long, but, October or November will be fine.

  8. Hi Cathi

I am now seeing more paintfill failing out. I had cleaned my clubs with wd40 once. Is this what could be impacting the paintfill?  Seems this was recommended for forged clubs to protect the finish but not sure the impact on paintfill. Gun oil was also recommended but I have not tried that yet.  Should I stay away from these cleaners for these clubs and if so what does titleist recommend for maintaining the forged irons?

    Thanks

    Mike
