I have a 4 year old 18º that has a draw bias, and after having a few lessons and shortening up my swing, I have a nice baby draw (which is what I was going for). Now the draw bias hybrid is not

Re: 910H Input Needed

Look at the other post (one of the Titleist gurus has spoken).

In regards to the Proforce shafts - can't tell you about V2 but CAN tell you about Proforce 65 wood shafts....

In 2007, I received a Cobra X Speed driver and Titleist 975F 16.5 and 20.5 fairway woods with a Proforce ATR Stiff shaft (with soft tip). They almost felt like regular shafts and had a high trajectory.

I also had a Titleist 975 driver with Proforce 65 stiff shaft stiff tip and it had a much lower trajectory vs the Cobra. Distance was about 10 yards less.

Re: 910H Input Needed

I have a more upright swing and tend to hit a high baby fade with irons. 3-wood is a little bit flatter and tend to hit a baby draw (57.5 lie angle). I'm thinking that I would like to have the hybrid play more like the irons, with a baby fade. Maybe a 17º with an x-stiff adjusted up to a 18.50º would be the right stick.

Do the UST Proforce V2's play stiffer than normal stiff shafts? I have X100's in my irons and a stiff E370 in my 3 wood.

Re: 910H Input Needed

According to the data sheet, you can only adjust down .75 deg but up 1.5. With the 19, the range would be 18.25 to 20.5 With the 17, it would be 16.25 to 18.5. Understanding a standard 3 iron is around 20 deg (+/- 1 deg). Also keep in mind the 19 is 1/2" shorter in length. The lie angles differ only by .25 deg between the 17 and 19 unadjusted.

Best way to do it is compare the 17 and 19 at the store before buying (use a launch monitor) and set both clubs around 18 deg. Do a lie board adjustment with both and then compare ball flight and launch angle.

Upright swing = higher ball flight. You would probably need to upright the 19 a tad or flatten the 17.

Which one would fit your swing better?

Re: 910H Input Needed

Another question:

Is it better to dial the 19º down to an 18º

or

dial a 17º up to an 18º

I think an 18º is the loft that I'm looking for but would like to get the flight a little higher than my old 18º.

Re: 910H Input Needed

I'd go with the 17. A little more distance than a 19 hybrid. That's me though. For sake of consistency, x flex with x flex. I would think that the 19 with x flex would get the ball up better than a 17 because of the loft.
