First and only Titleist club i've owned. So far I LOVE it! I cant wait to get it out on the course this weekend! I'm wondering if it is safe

Re: Is the Frogger brush and groove tool safe?

are groove sharpeners legal? i dont have one but it seems like there would be a rule against it. also, do they really work (if they are legal I would consider getting one) and are the effects noticeable. thanks

Re: Is the Frogger brush and groove tool safe?

I've got both on my bag, the Frogger and a regular plastic/vinyl bristle brush. I prefer the Frogger as it cleans the grooves better. I haven't notice any scratches or ill effects from using it.

On a slightly different subject, stay away from the Frogger ball marker repair tool. I've had two break on me while trying to repair a ball mark. I won't return a second time for a third one. They are a cheaply made.

Re: Is the Frogger brush and groove tool safe?

Bobby S,
I currently own a frogger brush with the groove tool. My frogger recently broke in one of my tournaments so I started using a wet towel and a tooth brush. I found that it works just as good and does not scratch my wedges, MC irons, or my Titleist 910 woods.
Hope this helps.

Re: Is the Frogger brush and groove tool safe?

Since they are still new, I suggest to stick with the plastic brush for the meantime. You wouldn't want to ruin your Vokey right away, you might get some light scratches on the face. Those groove tools are safe, and you can use them on a regular basis when you have used the wedge after awhile.

Congrats on your first Titleist club! I bet they won't be the last...

Good Luck and Happy Golfing.
