Thank you for the great info... I am sending my putter in this fall for refurb job. Currently looking for a second putter on the cheap on ebay..

You'd be very happy if you sent your putter into the Custom Shop to have it re-finished. They do superb work there, especially when it comes to re-finishing. As long as the putter isn't all beat up, it should come back looking brand new. New grip, new shaft, shaft band, head cover, and so on.

Just this week they announced that additional finishes are offered on carbon putters. You can now get either the original finish (shiny black oxide), black mist finish (black oxide that is dulled down), and oil can mist (dulled down oil can). They do great work at the Custom Shop and I have had several restored. You won't be disappointed.

What finish did you go with? That is what Im curious about. Don't know how my putter would look if the only option is oil can or pro platinum..

I sent my Studio Style putter back and had a complete restoration done. It was awesome looking when i got it back. Almost thought they replaced the head with a brand new one. Had my initials put on it and the color scheme changed. Well worth it in my opinion.
