Just curious, does Titleist refinish or restore clubs? Fix dings, bag chatter, dents on face grooves, refinish the face back to original condition (coated).

The only clubs that we restore/refinish are Scotty Cameron putters.  If this is something you are interested in, you can click on the link below to learn more.

    Thanks Cameron for the response.

Another question, the original ap2 vs the ap2 712: in the original ap2's (2008) are the tungsten weights placed in the toe and heel just like the new ap2 712's?  And the soles are thin steel plates for both?  I used a magnet on a 2008 ap2 on the sole and it hardly stuck, but when I tried with the ap2 712's the magnet stuck to the sole very strong.  Could you tell me why this is?

    Kind regards.

One of the big improvements with the 712 AP2 was the use of the pure tungsten heel and toe weights in the bottom cavity.  This allowed us to improve the stability of the club (more forgiveness) without increasing the blade length (same workability).  The original AP2 irons featured a tungsten nickel box that was laser welded to the carbon steel chassis to form the bottom cavity and sole (see the image below).  Let us know if you have any other questions.
