Thanks for the feedback everyone. I opted for the black Newport 2, 34". I absolutely love it. Definitely gave me more confidence standing over the ball. Now if only I can straighten out my driver and I will start to shoot some real scores. Love Scotty Cameron and will never turn back to something else!

There's a big difference in the feel from deep milling to the standard milling. It all depends on what you like. Any golf shop worth their salt will have both on hand. Roll em both and decide what you like.

Michael,

I have the new Black NP2 and it's amazing. The deep milling on it makes it feel so soft and smooth. You can always send your black one in to Scotty Custom Shop (www.scottycameron.com) and have the black removed (they call it taking it to Raw Stainless). Several Pros have done this, Specifically Dustin Johnson's and Scott Piercy's GoLo's.

The newer Select model putters (black ones) are our most recent release and will continue through 2013.
