i have a set 735.cm irons that ive had for going on 6 years.. in the last 6 months ive noticed a loss in distance with my mid irons.. do irons loss distance.. ive always heard that drivers loss there "pop" after years.. dont really know if that is true or not... just wondering if anyone has had distance loss in irons with a 6 year old set... is it time for some new blades....

    Matthew,

With 6 years of play you shouldn't lose really any distance. If anything, you may lose a yard or two from groove wear, since the ball won't spin as much.  The performance or MOI should not change.

Not at all.  I had a set of X31s that my dad got new in 1967.  I used them between 1979-2006 and still hit them about the same distance (7 iron 150 yards > translates to hitting a modern game improvement 9 iron).
