  1. I have a new to me 910D2 8.5* driver (Left Handed) with a OBAN Kiyoshi Purple 04 Flex 75g shaft. I am extremely excited about this driver, I feel like it could be the driver to finally take my 905R out of my bag permanently (905R...greatest driver ever?)

Anyways, as a lefty I absolutely hate hitting the ball right (draw, hook), the first thing I did was change my driver from the standard "D4" setting to the A1 position, hoping to see a square club face with a little more loft. When I got to the course I noticed my club at addressed looked to be closed dramatically. First swing, a huge hook...I immediately wanted my 905R back in the bag.

My question is, am I reading the chart/settings matrix wrong? What is the left handed setting that will give me .75* more loft with an OPEN club face at address, after tinkering around with the setting I feel like the chart is 180* off, the draw settings open the face and fade setting close the face. Any clarity on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

That being said, I think Titleist produces the highest quality clubs with emphasis on new technology and performance not paint or gimmicks.

    With the highest regards,

    Eric

You are reading the chart correctly, but when you add loft to the club the face tends to close a little because of the lie angle.  You should give the B1 setting a try.  I have the same driver in left handed and this setting works well for me.

  3. Thanks for the information, I will give that setting a try!

You can create your own matrix/chart here: http://www.titleist.com/golf-clubs/913-performance-guide/

    Hope this helps!
