Hi there, I have a set of 712 AP2 irons and love them. The irons have the standard S300 dynamic gold shafts fitted but I am hearing loads of chatter about KBS shafts and am interest to understand what the fuss is about and whether I should be thinking about having these shafts fitted to my irons.
Does anyone have any thoughts or comments
Unless you need a higher ballflight (KBS TOUR) stick with your Dynamic Gold S-300's.
No need to tinker if your hitting your current set-up solid and like the ballflight.
KBS Tours's will launch the ball higher than DG S-300's.
I had to choose between the KBS and normal True Temper shafts when I was getting ready to buy my 710 CB's. I felt like the True Temper shaft helped me control trajectory more while the KBS just seemed to launch at my regular trajectory and didn't seem to stray from that. You should make your decision based on workability or consistency.
Thanks so much for your reply. I probably need a slightly lower ball flight to be honest as my preference would for the flight to be more penetrating but I can work that through with practice. No need to change it would seem, I guess I just thought they were the must have shafts of the moment.
Appreciate your time and feedback.
