i have recently gotten a Scotty Cameron Newport 2 and discovered a bit of paint on the club head. Is there any way to safely remove the paint or will I have to return the club?? It's the same paint used for the grey label. Here's a photo:
I would try acetone on a q-tip... it's not going to damage the head at all and if it doesn't get it off, you may have to get in contact with SC.
Let me know how it goes!
Hi Max, Please take your putter back to your shop and have them set up a Warranty repair.
will return the club asap.
thanks for your tip. I was actually going to send it back but decided against it, because I wanted to play the Scotty in a tournament last monday. I used nail polish remover on a q-tip and could easily remove the paint with it.
