I don't know if there are any new wedges coming out (besides the Vokey Wedgeworks TVD-K). I just bought 3 SM4s this past fall, and added two TVD-Ms with SM4 heads. I love these wedges. I got the TVDs because I was going to replace the shafts with DG Spinners. With the cost of the shaft replacement, I figured why not get some new wedges and replaced my 56 and 60. This wasn't absolutely necessary, but I like them so far (only played 2 rounds with them, but with an injured neck and shoulder).

These are great clubs. The distance control is excellent.

I love the SM4s.

I've had the 60-10 (bent to 59) for over a year now.  Many "down in 2".

I've had the 54-11 (bent to 53) about 3 months now and am getting pretty deadly with it.

Just got the 64-07 2 months ago.  Last round I dropped a shot 6" from the pin.

Thank you I will look into the TVD-K!

I try not to worry about always having the newest clubs. Just buy what you like and what you play well with. The SM4 wedges are very nice, so if you like them and play well with them then just buy them. There will always be new clubs coming out every year or two, but I like to play with my clubs for several years before I upgrade to new. I like to build a relationship with my clubs, sounds kind of corny but it works for me. I am currently playing the spin milled and spin milled cc wedges from a few years ago, I absolutely love them. I have developed so many different shot types with them and they are very consistent wedges.

May add that I'm not one of those "traditionalists" that carries 52-56-60.    Used a 64* wedge of some sort between 2006-2011.  Did 51-58-64 (first ever Vokey 258-12 as a SW) between 2007-2009 (major shortcoming was the longer bunker shots and I changed my 51 to a V Foil GW and that helped).   Did DIY PW(47)-SW(55)-SM2 (60 and 64) between 2009-2011.  My wedge setup of AP1 PW, and the above SM4s is pretty close to my 2009-2011 setup and my short game is as good as or better.

Short game has been a bit of an experiment since going to legal grooves in 2011 (basically SM c-c 50-08 as a PW/GW until March 2013; SM c-c 54-11 for 2011-2012 and 54-14 for last half of 2013, played SM4 52-12 as a GW/SW between Dec 2012-Mar 2013, and SM c-c 58-04 and 62-07 from May 2011 thru May 2012); OK but not as razor sharp as the 2009-2011 time frame.

The M grind (which is on the 54-11, 56-11, 58-12 and 60-10) is the most versatile, in my opinion.  If you play the ball back in your stance, hard bunkers and hard pan lies aren't too difficult.   It glides through the sand in soft bunkers.  The 58-12 plays about like an Eye 2 SW (same loft and bounce).

The T grind (on the SM4 62-07 and 64-07) works fine on soft lies and in small deep bunkers.  Still playing with it on firmer lies.

The SM4 52-12 CAN be used as a full grind long sand wedge but tends to dig a little in soft sand.  Very good around the greens also.  Works well for hitting off the fairway.   If you want to approximate an "Old School" setup, a 47 PW, the 52-12 and 58-12 is the equivalent of the 9 iron, PW and SW.

The TVD-K really isn't anything "new". It is a custom made Vokey SM4 with a K grind, which is a more cambered sole. The TVD-Ms that I got are pretty much the same as any Vokey SM4 with a M grind (my 56 is almost the exact same specs save for one degree of bounce). Check them out on the Vokey page and click wedges.

I just checked, they are available now by the way.

I actually decided on the cally 2012 Forged wedges in 52-10/ 56-11/ 60-09.  I liked the SM4 but the cally really appealed to me with the bigger faceand very soft feel.

I think the clubs are typically 2 year cycles.  So I suspect there will be new stuff coming.  I LOVE my SM4's though so no need for me.  I upgraded end of last year from SM2's and WOW the SM4's are just ridiculous.

Best wedges I ever owned and my score is slowly dropping.
