I've had a great season with my Titleist clubs, but now that our men's club season is winding down, it's time to look at the holes in my game and find something to fill the gaps.
I've already replaced my 910D3 10.5* with a 913D3 9.5*. I really didn't think anything could beat the 910 out of my bag, but the 9.5* loft is giving me the extra roll out I felt I was missing. Also, I've replaced my worn Vokey's with new SM4s.
So the next area I'd like to fix the yardage gaps between my 5 iron and my hybrids. I currently carry a 910H 19* & 21* (set to 22.5*). Unfortunately, I face a dilemma when I'm 185 yards out, as it falls between the 5 iron and the 21*. First thought is to replace the 910H 21* with a 913H 24*, although adding an 712 AP2 4 iron in the bag is a close second.
How does the TT community like the 913H? The one problem I'm fighting with the 910H 21* is two fold: first, shaft flex is a little light and second, adding so much loft has made controlling my draw a battle. I think a 24*, set neutral, should be much easier to point and shoot.
And how is the stock Diamana S+ Blue 82? I have an ilima 72 stiff in my 19*, and we get along very well. Will the extra 10 grams be noticeable, or should I opt for a S+ Blue 72 in stiff flex?
I know a proper fitting is the best route here, but I'm using pro shop credit but our course doesn't offer fitting. And I'm not one to go to waste the time of a shop that does fit, if I have no intent on purchasing from them.
Thanks
