How many wedges do you carry

The course you play also should drive the bounce factor on your wedges.  I play a desert course with very firm narrow fairways.  Off the fairways it is all hard pan.  The bunkers are filled with unwashed river sand - read hard pan.  Less bounce is key for playing a firm course.  I have a 58 degree wedge bent to 56 in order to reduce the bounce.  Another option/factor is the grind on the sole.  I believe, although I have never done so, wedge fitting is the most important fitting you can do.

Almost the same for me, 200 series 46, 50, 56 and a TVD M 60 but going to a TVD K.  Anyone go from the M to the K and have a negative experience with the lack of grind?

I have played a 60 degree TVD-M for years and love the club.  I recently spent a fair amount of time hitting the 60 degree M and K grinds back to back.  I was surprised, but I was actually able to open up the face and make all of the shots I was accustomed to with the M grind with the K grind.  The biggest difference was from softer sand.  I ended up ordering one of each (M and K) so I could have different bounce options.  The standard bounce on a TVD-M is 8 degrees while the bounce on a TVD-K is 10 degrees.

I carry 4 wedges in my bag during play...more during practice.

I like having various options based on course type and conditions.

I carry 4..... Lob, gap, sand and pitch.... I got rid of my 9 iron that was 1/2 a club for me anyway.
I carry 4; PW w/ x100 50*w/ s400 54*w/ s400 58*w/ s400

I carry 4; AP1 - 714 PW and 48G plus 2 Vokey SM 56 and 60. Titleist publish a matrix in some of their magazine advertisements. The reason for the gap between the two mid wedges relates to trying to compensate for different sand types and summer - winter carry (we play Year - round). The bounce suiting me was worked out with my Pro.
