Lie Angle?

    I recently purchased a new set of 714 MB's at +1", 2 degrees strong, and standard lie.  Since getting the clubs I have been hitting a hook and was wondering if the extra length could be causing this somehow (like making the lie angle more upright or something).  Any reply is appreciated, thanks.

    Hi Cody, 

    Thanks for the post. 

    For every +1/2" over standard, an iron effectively becomes 1 degree UP. Meaning your current irons play at 2 degrees UP.  

    This could be a reason why you are starting to miss it left, but I would suggest seeing a local PGA Pro or fitter to try different lie angles and lengths to find the best combination for you.
