D2 vs D3 sound difference

    I now own three titleist drivers (913 D2 10.5, 913 D2 8.5 and 913 D3 9.5) and the one distinct thing I have noticed between the D2 and D3 is the sound the ball at impact.  The D2 is very muted while the D3 has a crushing sound.  Has anyone else noticed this?? I sort of really like the D3 sound even though I would probably prefer to play the D2! 

    Has anyone else noticed this and what are your preferences?

    I did try both, but I play the D3. I got much less spin on the D3 than the D2. I love my D3 and I can't imagine how the 915 will be better, but if it is, I'll be all over that too. 

    The 913 D3 is by far the best driver I've ever owned. Very controllable.

    It is amazing to see how much I prefer the D3....!  It is great to have a couple choices within the Titleist line...heading back to Oceanside in October to experiment with the new 915 line! Cant wait!
