I recently installed a SuperStroke Slim 3.0 grip to my late model Futura, 34" putter. The "feel" of the putter is much lighter than prior to the new installation. Any way to increase the head weight of this putter? (I thought weight kits had been available years ago). Any thoughts would be appreciated. Chris C.

    Hi Chris,

The custom shop can increase the weight.  They have a specially made weight bar to increase the swingweight.  It will require you to send in the putter, so you may want to wait until your season has ended and use lead tape in the meantime.  The link to their site is:  http://www.scottycameron.com/custom-shop/

  3. I have done this reweighting with my original futura and it works like a champ!  You have a choice of three weights...depending on your current weight that gives you two other choices.  The custom shop basically just replaces the horse shoe weight on the back, the actual weight is engraved on the bottom in case you were curious what your current weight is.  Going to a heavier weight will help increase your swingweight.

    Good Luck!

This was a huge issue when that putter came out. Some innovative machine shop guys milled out perfectly fitting weights to fit the Futura. The early ones had to be put in with adhesive but the next generation had set screws so the weight could be easily taken in and out. Different colors and even sightlines were available. Fully USGA legal. Of course, Scotty put out his own as well. I don't see any of the weights on eBay anymore so you'll have to track them down.
