915 line Why so mum?

I have never had a complaint about Titleist or how they do business but i do find the 915 line interesting. Its not the clubs them selves im sure they will meet the high standard that Titleist is known for and I'm sure they wouldn't have put the compression channel on if it wasn't proven to have a significant improvement. Frankly im looking forward to getting to hit these during demo days and ordering if i am satisfied with the feel. But i digress to my issue. Why haven't we herd anything from the Titleist reps here on the site. I understood the first week after they leaked on golfwrx. but now that Ben Crane has talked about the Fairway woods publicly i would have expected at least a little insight into the R&D and engineers design improvements / functionality. I don't maybe they are utilizing at let the product speak for its self and generate buzz with numbers. but im just curious as to why i haven't gotten and email or seen a thread from the Titleist Reps about this club.

John, thanks for the post on 915.  We often get the question about why we don't share more product details after the tour launch. The reason is it is still too early to share detailed information about the product.  Our focus at this point is to get the product seeded with our Tour staff and get their comments as they begin to use the product competitively.  This is an important part of our go-to-market process as it provides us with insights into how the product performs, and if our players are making model, specification or shaft changes.  This process of what we call "tour seeding" takes place publicly at tour events and many industry equipment writers and bloggers are watching and posting information as it is happening.

Once our tour seeding effort is nearing completion (it takes a couple months globally to complete) we will begin to provide detailed information on the product performance benefits and technology.  At that time you will be able to find accurate information via Titleist.com and with our media partners and equipment websites.  Until that time much of what you see is written is speculation.

So stay tuned to Team Titleist and within the next two months you will have the full story!

Thanks.

Chris:  We Titleist loyalists are just anxious and ready for the new line.....can you blame us.  We understand but 60 days seems like forever.

agreed!

Anxious here too.  I've accrued some pro shop credit and would like to look at a new 3 wood to replace my 910F.  I demoed the 913F 15* and was pleased with the results, but at this point, I'm thinking I should just hold off and go for the 915F.  Only problem would be is getting a chance to demo with different shafts.

Those in all likelyhood will not be out until the spring of 2015......go ahead and try the different shafts with the 913 and find what you like.......a good shaft is the key......they probably will still have the same shafts available.......the 15 degree is a great club....I have one and dropped the degree to 14.25 and it is awesome of the tee and the deck......

Chris i really do appreciate the response. I think you guys have had a great formula in the past with tour seeding and holding true to release cycles. I would have just like to have gotten a little bit of something from titleist. even if its not detail oriented maybe just a short blog saying we have started the seeding process for the 915 line or here guys check out whats on the horizon. Like i said i can understand not wanting to pitch the product until closer to release but i would have like to see a little nugget of info for us here at Team Titleist. I do consider my self a brand loyalist and i would have hoped to have gotten something. and i think a previous line's release was here on the site first before you saw them anywhere else. anyways i am still titleist fan and supporter and look forward to the release and more details

Cheers greens and fairways to all

I had my pro order the 913F 15* with the Diamana S Blue yesterday.  Since I have to spend the pro shop credit in the same golf season it was earned, now was the time.  I haven't used my 910F in some time, primarily due to the low flight and unpredictable ROLL I've been getting out of it.

I hope you get as much enjoyment from yours, as I do.......I wish they made hybrids in a 15* and would jump all over that.....I love Titleist Hybrids.........

will Titleist be releasing a new 915 hybrid model, as well???? thanks in advance

915D fall 2014 followed by the 915F and 915H in spring 915....

Chris,

Curious...how do you select the staff players for the initial launch?  Will any and all that volunteer qualify or are they chosen based upon certain specific playing characteristics?  It would also be interesting to have a series of videos that would explain

the features/benefits of new releases similar to what Bill Morgan has done with ball technology.

Looking forward to having the 915's in hand.  I know it will be a hit.

Greg

All I need to know - Is there going to be a 21 deg fairway wood?  I am going to replace all my woods this fall / winter and I need a 7 wood.  A hybrid will not do.  If the 915 is going to have one, then I will hold out.

You can get a 19° fairway and use the Sure-Fit Tour adjustment to get it to 20.5°.

Just curious, why won't a hybrid work for you?

I have a 19* and set it to a 20.5* and it works great........agree with 19Hole.....a great solution to your problem......mine is a hybrid and I see that you are not interested in a hybrid......you would be surprised how far Titleist hybrids go and they are accurate......they are very versatile.....off the tee, the fairway, and the rough.......I'm 68 and love them......
